Our summer is ending. We only have about 3 more weeks of warmth here in Toronto before it starts getting into long sleeve weather.

We had the worst ever in recorded history rainy summer here in England.  Then since the end of August, it became nice and sunny

I went for mental health assessment yesterday, they offered me drugs

xL

I did say my SAD problems weren't too bad this week all of a sudden because the sun came out, but they said I could have some meds on script anyways if I wanted.  I said perhaps I'll get more excersice and laugh a bit more.  Two Doctors spent two hours with me and I told them my entire life story.

I asked for cognitive behavioural therapy and they said okay.  They wanted to suggest that I join a bi-polar group but I said no way...

I'm lucky I live in England and am getting this for free, if I lived in LA, I'd have been paying all my life for therapy.

Maybe it's just the menopause approaching, I always feel this way in September.  The Autumn.

of course we saw the hummingbird, but we're wondering whether it's a lovely plumbago climbing plant or is it a decorative plastic feature in the foreground?

I also suffer from SAD and our winters are not even as bad as that rainy little island you live on. :(

They just passed Timothy's law here, now if you have insurance you pay what your co-pay is for your primary care physician.

Oh I remember that weather quite well, which is why we moved to South Florida.  Although I miss the smell in the air during the change of seasons...I don't miss living through them (especially the winter).

i would miss smelling the seasons enormously, which is what I love about England, it's always different weather and that's how come it's what we talk about when we have a conversation:  How are you? fine

& LL, you get winter in Florida, it's when all the tourists go home and there's very little income.

It's amazing here, 21-25 celcius for a week.  Considering we had no summer it's silly...
xL

the leaves smell red and yellow and golden and leafy
we called it Indian summer when I lived in Canada as it happened frequently
here they don't know what I'm talking about, it's now called global warming or something

climate change?

Playbuddy?  Canada is fabulous, it's just Toronto that's a bit weird.  Get out of that city for a bit if you can...  Vancouver is incredible

Where you live, the country you're from, is, in my opinion, in the top 2

it's a haven

winter elsewhere???

xL

not florida, the people who live there year-round are strange...

I'm trying to get to either Italy (for free) or to India (which would be so cheap I'd scream

just for a month or so to overwinter.  I love Spring in England so will always come back....

Actually Linda, the tourists are here in the winter.  They go home in the summer.  Most don't want to be here in the summer time as we have constant 95 degree days with humidity.  The winter (when the tourists are here) it is about 75-80, less humidity.  Even the cooler temps here are better than the summer temps in Boston (where I am from).

I love South Florida.  :)

Judi...are you coming to Florida?  :D

Vancouver is a disaster city. Rec drugs gallore. Jobs pay mediocre. The view of the mountains is nice and nature of course. Toronto is hardcore. I belong in Toronto. We have the best night life, the best cafe's and restarants and the best crowd. I think i'll stick around here.
