I have been to both places, Turkey and Greece and when i was in Turkey everyone tryid to hussle me, but in Greece everyone was polite and very honest. Of course there's good and bad people in every county, but i'd pick Greece over Turkey anyday.

Athens of course is a short stop for sure.

those were the stops we were looking at doing. i was just wondering if there is anywhere that is not really well known but still very worth while.

My father-in-law lives in Athens and has a vacation home in Loutraki; the wife and I may fly over there one of these days. I've heard Loutraki is beautiful (and all of Greece for that matter)

Be warned, Athens is a BIG city.
Its layed out pretty square and easy enough to navigate, but its Big.

Great food.

Hey GR, welcome to the infected pool that is getbig, lol!

My family is Greek, although I've yet to actually see Greece myself, but I really hope to within the next year or so. I have a good bit of family that still lives in Greece, so a trip is definitely in order.

Hi GR, I've been to Crete 3 times.. I love it there.

I've stayed in Malia, Piskopiano and Koutouloufari (sp?). I worked out a few times in the gym on the main strip in Hersonissos. Great island and the people are so welcoming and friendly. I'd like to retire to Greece.. a nice little village like Koutouloufari would be perfect

Koutouloufari is very beautiful,so you've trained at flex gym in hersonissos main road,thats nice.But south Crete is even better than the north side.Whoever comes here,certainly comes again...

I could just walk around all day and EAT at little cafe/ restarantes in Athens.

I forget this one things name, rice and meat wrapped up in boiled Grape leaves.
Looks like giant bug larva. Tastes great.
