Just got back from my first cruise

During the course of a week I cruised to puerto rico (my homeland) and the virgin islands on the "miracle", a carnival cruise ship and had the time of my life. It was a truly unbeatable adventure. It was like a fantasy land. The way the cruise ship looked and worked and how it treated everyone like royalty. I got to play in the pools, relax in the jacuzis and work out whenever I felt like it. Got my first massage, banged my first asian (a hot little 17 yr old who was also my first illegal ), learned how to scuba dive, snorkel and swim with dolphins. I managed to get drunk 4 out of the 7 nights and met some great people. The wierd thing about cruises is you practically live with the friends (and girlfriend in my case) you make and then permanently part ways. It was a truly incredible experience... And yes!! I was champion physique status!!!!

And now I'm back home and have a week's worth of college work to make up. Great way to start my freshman year! That's a little bit of sarcasm and a little bit of not.

The one bad thing about visiting the islands was we were dropped off in shopping zones so Carnival obviously wanted us to spend our vacations by spending our money. Me and my family didn't do that we just enjoyed the sights and the beaches.

Cruises are fun, but I hate sitting with strangers at meals, like at a Japanese Steakhouse. If they are cool, no problem, but I sat with a white trash type family one time, it sucked.

you can get them pretty cheap here, they usually leave from florida and tour a couple of carribean islands

but as Figgs pointed out they usually drop you off in the "tourist central" with every native trying sell you tourist crap at inflated prices.


the only good thing is that you can usually buy liquor a lot cheaper than here in the states. And usually customs don't check your bags.

also as figgs pointed out local girls are willing to "treat you  nice" for the promise of green card


a good money making business is to rent scooters to tourist by the hour..after an hour or two most return to the aircondition areas for a drink.

Yeah, they are and the food is quite good. I just don't like some trashy family and their 2 late teenage sons staring at my girlfriend during our meals. I would have preferred to eat with my GF alone or with at least some people closer to our age/ and or interests.

I have been on for cruises so far - Bahamas, Carribean, Alaska, and the Denmark, Norway, Russian cruise. All have been great. Different type of vacation but never the less, there is something said for relaxing, eating, enjoying various ports, and just having fun without the worry of a hotel room, airports, driving and other expenses.  And if you meet the right people, you can have a blast. Or go with friends..

A very little bit. We even passed underneath a category 5 hurricane while I was wasted with my buds. No nausea at all. The winds outside were strong enough to knock a dude over. It was insane.

That's the difficult part of being on a cruise. Me and my cuz got to making friends during the last 2 days.

Lucky you! Hopefully I will have that much experience with cruising one day. I definetely want to go on another one next summer. They're awesome. Great fun for the family, eh?
