Anyone else here boil their meat and fish?
« on: September 08, 2007, 10:33:41 PM »
I was just curious if any of you guys just boil your meat and fish like I do (in fact boiling 500gr of chicken breast now); I almost always boil. Less mess, no fat (oil), just water. Sure it's bland but I like to think of nutrition that way anyway, if you wanted to enjoy what you eat you wouldn't be lifting...anyone else boil?
I hate the State.

Tastes crap boiled or broiled or what ever you want to call it IMO.
I use a non stick frying pan or the oven grill.

When you eat it every day you will in the end.
I went through a stage when I could not even look at chicken, then the same thing with tuna etc.
It is a balance, if it tastes to good you over eat if it tastes crap you get sick of it and binge on something else anyway.
You gotta balance it out.

 ::)  Good call.

Why not learn how to cook and then see if more mainstream cuisine really has the adverse effect on your physique which you seem to think it will?  I suspect your current diet is actually inferior by virtue of your unbalanced approach (I bet you're one of these guys who won't ever eat a piece of fruit) and a less "hardcore" nutritional scheme will actually benefit your physique and health.

I'll admit, I boil chicken quite a bit.  I cut boneless, skinless breasts into chunks and boil in a small amount of water.   It's a quick and easy way to have something on hand and ready to go.   I never eat them plain tho.  They go into a salad or something...

I only boil chicken sometimes.  I usually just cook it in a regular pan.

I don't know if this counts but here goes...

I used to eat a lot of canned chicken but then I decided to try something new. I'll take about four pounds of boneless chicken breasts & put them in the crock pot. I'll fill it up with water & various spices (sometimes even adding a can of beer) & let it simmer for about a day. I then take the chicken & smash it with a fork. It ends up looking like the stuff in the can except way cheaper. I just freeze what I don't use right away. It makes the chicken easy to add to other things: salads, rice, pasta, etc.

the bio-availibity of most multi-vitamins is under 1%... your body simply will not use those minerals

vitamins tablets cannot provide good mineral and vitamin support... you need a healthy diet...

not to mention needs such as fiber
