thanks gh15, ...but how does one get ephedra today in the US.. Its illegal but I dont think it is a controlled substance so it should be easy, but where, I have never heard of street dealers selling the stuff?

Look up Primatene or Bronkaid cold tablets. The main ingredient in these is Ephedrine. They banned use in diet and exercise supplements, they did not ban it for medicinal use.
