Stallone is out-of-touch. We live an era that is free from ideology, an era where it makes no sense to die or fight for anything. Technology is evolved; people live their lives through the internet. The only things that people still do in physical form are supplying their bodies animal needs: food, sex and sleep. This is not the 1980s, when there was still ideology and when people still actually socialized physically; this is an era when movies like "Rambo", with their explosive ideological violence, don't make any more sense. Why should anyone pay $10 to see a film of guys shooting each other when you can have 10 times more fun playing a video game or watching a game on your plasma TV? The only films that people still regard as being worth seeing in our internet era are films like "300" and "revnge Of The Sith", films that cost hundreds of millions of dollars and transport you tom completely imaginary worlds. 40 or 50 years from now, even these films will be regarded as pathetic, because by then there will be computers capable of creating an artificial world for yourself where you can interact directly by having electrodes implanted into your brain. That will be the end not only of cinema, but also of normal social life, because who will want to live a normal boring like if you can live an artificial life where you're king of the World and band a different Victoria's Secret underwear model every night?
