This is BS. Now you have Al sharpton talking shit. The ring leader in the assault has been previously convicted of four other violent crimes, and he was later convicted of yet another battery charge and two charges of criminal damage to property.

6 blacks kids beat up a white kid and got charged with attempted murder and a bunch of other stuff. It all started because the black kids sat under a tree the white kids usually sit at. The next day there were 3 nooses hanging from it and the kids who did it were white and only got suspended 3 days for it being a "prank". Racial tensions are high and apparently the kid called them 6 of them "####" and they beat him up pretty badly. It's a pretty bullshit case. Should've been thrown out months ago. It's been in the news for a while but it's picking up steam now since CNN had an article about it 2 weeks ago.

I think if six people attack one person they deserve prison. Now they are talking 20 years which is a bit extreme. I don't know all the circumstances, but I would say from what I do know a few years would suffice.

Here's the deal. You run your mouth to someone, you risk getting the shit kicked out of you, and you might even be outnumbered. HOWEVER, last time I checked it's not a crime per se to run your mouth, but it IS a crime to respond to that insult with physical violence. The law is the law. Not to say that the white kids are in the clear, because obviously they were stirring shit in a big way. But the fact of the matter is, those 6 blacks are cowards for ganging up on 1 kid. What the fuck kind of shit is that anyway? If this were the REAL Deep South, and not some podunk wasteland in Louisiana, those six black dudes would have gotten strung up vigilante style long ago.

It has more to do with the racial tensions. For three white kids to be suspended for three days for hanging nooses because it was a "prank" is laughable. Up here in CT that's expulsion. I don't know too many people who would consider that a prank. And they weren't the first kids to get in a fight over it. Apparently fights and kids getting jumped are happening frequently, be they white or black. Their school auditorium even got torched as a result of it they think.

The noose thing was in poor taste, but it was a victimless crime. Just a stupid prank. 6 kids stomping 1 is grounds for serious jail time.

My buddy got jumped by 9 of them in New Haven a month ago. 14 stitches above his eye, needed a cat scan, concussion, all kinds of shit. He was blasted and doesn't even remember what he said. Walked outside the bar and got jumped.

That's true. I read somewhere that blacks were pissed because that noose thing was not considered a hate crime, which I think it should be frankly. All racial ribbing aside, there are just some things you can't do anymore in society.
