With one or two possible exceptions, all of them have very wide waists. Ruhl can get away with it to some extent because his shoulders are so broad but still, they'd look that much the wider if his waist were under 45 inches $:-\$

Ruhl may be bigger, but you also can't see anything underneath because he's still FAT and holding water from the back!
All the other guys onstage you can see detail- something that Ruhl does not have in his lower body- and in comparison to the others he is not as detailed.
From the front he looks good and competitive, back the back not so much.
You can't win a contest with "half of a body."

ruhls also missing triceps and all detail and seperation in his body.

i geuss dexters, awesome conditioning, detail, symmetry, proportion and fullness dont matter because his calves are a little high

While I agree with you-to a minor extent- calves hardly equal "half" of the human body!
Do people look odd with tree trunk thighs, and pipe cleaner calves? YES!
But, when the contest is about being muscular AND in condition...and one is only conditioned on HALF his body (in Ruhl's case the front, but lacking the back) you can't see the detail needed to win in todays BBing contests.

his structure may suck (according to you) but he is the best conditioned and very heavily muscled and symmetrical (though not aesthetic).
