What would you do with these posts & threads that develop when it's obvious the search feature wasn't even attempted?

Is any discussion really ever done? If somebody wants to reply let them If not let the person continue their search.......sometimes i feel like you guys say this question has already been answered when it really hasn't been.....isn't the purpose of this place to help people become more fit and "get big" if anything the repeated questions are a good chance to be reminded of whatever answer the person was looking for in the first place and a chance for old information to be constantly updated so that when people do search they get the best possible answers with the newest possible post because if you see a post that is 3 years old even if it is completely accurate you should question its accuracy......thats my take

These Mods on this Board are very Lazy....They don't want to help out newbies with questions they may have...They also have very little knowledge of Supplements in general..Which is evident about the shit that is posted and especially the garbage that is sticked...

How about you resign your mod position if you don't feel like doing your job?

Maybe they should merge this crappy supp. forum, with the pet forum...The same value of nutritional advice could be found there...

i help out newbies on this board whenever i can. there is also alot of the same topics and questions being covered over and over again. newbie or not you would think people would try the search function first. i mean how many threads does there have to be about prohormones and ephedrine. it would be interesting to see some other things being discussed like precontest dieting for example but that hardly ever happens.

i dont think anyone here is lazy. i check the board atleast twice a day and when i see topics that need to be merged or moved i do it. other than princess l and myself i dont recall seeing the other mods post in a while so they may be mia right now.

Believe or or not not everyone knows there's a search function...Not everyone understands how a modern day discussion board works...I'm sure many newbies Don't even notice the stickies...

If I were a mod here I would do one of the following:

#1 if there's a question that's answered in a sticky, i'd lock the thread and link to the sticky. (as a mod, it would be my responsibility that the most frequent questions and answers where covered in a sticky anyway, regarding say dosage of creatine)
#2 if there's a question that's recently been discussed, meaning first or second page, i would lock the thread and link to that.
#3 if there's a question that's been up before, but not really recently, i would let the thread be since a board where people keep saying "dude, use the search!" creates a unfriendly atmopshere.

Yes Danielson, The moods on this Supplement forum aren't exactly supermoderators...They Don't go above the call of duty to help those who need direction...There sole objective is to reduce the amount of supplement discussion on the board..I gathered my opinion from what they do to people who ask questions, lock there threads, put them down, make them feel like inferior pieces of shit because they don't know how to dose creatine properly, and delete there threads instead of helping them....Mind you that's the whole damn purpose of this board is for..

Perhaps you would like to once again share your infinite wisdom and inform the board what the JOB DUTIES are for a VOLUNTEER mod. After 2, 3 and 4 years here, we’re still not quite sure.

None of us are degreed medical physicians nor claim to be. We're just a bunch of people who enjoy the lifestyle and like sharing information and experience. As Mods, we're no more "experts" than some of the members.

That doesn't mean people reading the board should take that information blindly. Too many people come to these sites or walk into a GNC or go to a "real" medical Dr. and just blindly do or take what they say without doing their research. Ultimately, it comes down to personal choice and thinking for yourself.

For the most part this board is self policed by the participating members. It is everyone’s responsibility to contribute. We just help to maintain the board, enforce the rules and keep things from getting out of line.
Logical and civil arguments are fine. No flaming or bashing or personal attacks. Play nice and be respectful and generally everyone will respond in kind. Hopefully we can all get ideas and learn from each other.

RARELY are threads locked and even more rare, deleted. I can count on one hand how many times I’ve done either of those in 4 years and I’m pretty sure the others can say the same. This board is extremely lenient. If you have issues, feel free to discuss it with our main man, Ron.

IMO - Princess L does a fine job of moderating & she's right more people need to use the search functions. Over on the Hardcore board you can only answer some many "dbol only cycle" questions before you want to pound your head into the wall.
