Will Repub party implode?

Top 2 evangelical groups in country - perkins and dobson - now say they'll run their own candidate to counter guiliani. 

Can the party have ANY chance at all?  They're already ten point behind the dems (any candidate) easily.  Will splitting the repub's 45% of votes between TWO candidates be a mistake they'll make?

Who would the 3rd party candidate be? Newt???  Huckanee would be most likely - looks like Kevin SPacey and is a strong moral candidate.  Also got 2nd in Iowa straw poll.
