man, one of the most painful animal bites I've ever had was from a meerkat.  We were in the enclosure looking at a sick one and one came up behind me and nailed me on the left buttcheek.  The little monster bit me through my levis pocket, through the jeans, through my underwear, and did a great job of punching 4 little holes in my ass cheek.   It also delivered a very healthy pinch with the bite.   When I jumped up, the meerkat was still attached to my buttcheek, so it went flying across the enclosure.    It wasn't pretty.    >:(...

How'd she die?

I finally saw the episode, it's called "Journey's End" and is replaying all weekend from what I saw.  Spoiler for anyone who is going to try and watch it.....

The Zappa family came to the edge of the Whisker's  territory with their 3 pups.  The Whisker's chased them off and one of the Zappa pups, Axle, was left behind.  He kind of wandered around til one of the Whiskers males heard him.  The male went to him, and eventually brought the pup back to where the  Whisker group was foraging.  They all sniffed him and Flower decided he was okay and when they headed back to their den he went with them.  Flower even carried him part of the way because he couldn't keep up.  On the way back they came across a cobra which as a group they scared off.  They headed back to the den again, Flower carrying Axle.

In all the hub bub over Axle and getting back they didn't notice where the cobra went.......it had went to their den and down into it where the pups were.  When they got to there den they could smell the cobra and where all around the entrance hole making noise and figuring out what to do.   Flower went in.....

They next showed the clouds breaking in the morning so I guess it is the next day.  They showed 2 short shots of Flower from a distance, she had gotten bit in the head by the cobra, the pups were saved.  :'(        Now this is where I got pissed off....

They say it is the life and death story of the Whiskers family, fine, I get that, but they put those stupid collars on them and here is Flower with a swollen head from the bite and they can't even put her down!?!  Or take the damn collar off her?!  She was suffering you could tell.  I didn't expect they would get the cobra out, or even to try and save Flower, but shit, would taking away her suffering have made any difference?  Consider it "payment" for making money off of filming her and her family.

And those stupid Zappas for taking the pups with them all that way when they decided to get in the Whiskers face!!  Leaving poor Axle, luckily Flower took him with them, and I believe that was the reason they didn't pay more attention to where the Cobra went, they then focused on Axle.

You're on the wrong side of the lake to be tossing extra an "u" into your words.
