That bull that broke everyones face bodacious died of liver failure, go figure. That being said I think bull riding is cruel and should be banned along with all "cowboys" who were tight wrangler jeans.

Oh bullshit.  Bodacious retired at 7 years of age and went on the Fair/tour circuit.  He developed kidney problems when he was 12 which was thought to be secondary to medications (tetracycline and banamine) used to treat a severe foot infection.  He died after treatment of this infection.   His owners have officially said he died from heart disease.   There are absolutely no official reports of that bull having liver failure.  He was a Charbray cross (Charlois/Brahama)---thats why he looked so freaky.  It had nothing to do with anabolics.  Most rodeo bulls look jacked up because of the cross of cattle they are.  They are some form of Zebu:  Brangus, Brahama, Plummer or other Bos indicus/Bos taurus hybrid.   The Bos indicus species of cattle are what give them the hypermuscular appearance with that huge hump, especially considering the care with which these cattle are fed and how closely their diets are monitored.   Theres a big difference between the Bos taurus species of Angus or Herford (or Holstein for the dairy) the typical American associates with cattle farms and what those stock contractor bulls are.  Its genetics.

This whole PBR thing screams of the media on another witchhunt.   The cattle contractors I know (and I'll admit, they aren't' that many, but I know a couple from years back) don't want to jeopardize the breeding ability of the bull because thats where they make the most money from----a champion bull producing champion offspring.

Tight wrangler jeans aren't as bad as that new fashion where guys wear skin tight tapered pants. Ugh it just makes me wanna beat these kids up. And nearly all of them are skinnier than teh girls they're with. Like why ADVERTISE how boney your legs are. I'll never understand it.

I have no idea what documentary on ESPN you are talking about, but if they said Bodacious died from liver failure, then yes, I'm saying they are wrong.   The bull had kidney disease, thought to be secondary to antibiotics and antiinflammatory drugs used to treat a foot infection--this could have been his cause of death and was reported in some newspapers as the reason he died.   The Andrews Rodeo Company's official statement was "heart failure."
No where did has liver disease ever been mentioned.

And thank you for proving me right with the other statements.  4000 samples seems really high from a realistic semen collection standpoint, but if they divided samples, its maybe possible.    The last official statistic I heard was he'd sired 120 offspring--at several thousand dollars a piece.   Anyway you look at it, again, it shows the money is in the breeding.

No, of course not, but only fair they get suspended just like human athletes.

Now if the bull riders decided to juice, Wrangler is in a world of hurt! They would need a new line of baggy fit jeans for bigger legs. Yee Haw!
