Let's suppose - as you introduced the hypothetical - that 10 million people signed this petition.

#1 - Are you telling me that the IFBB would ignore that many voices?

Question #2 - I thought Lee was suspended for a year. Suddenly they "decide" to change the year to forever, even though he's broken no other rules?

Lee absolutely detests the IFBB and its hierarchy. He has made a career out of 'running down' the organisation.

The 5 ft. 4 Lee, has spoken at length about the 'systematic-corruption' and 'exploitation' that is inherent in bodybuilding today.

Lee only wants back in so he can continue his tirade; of further destroying the credibility of the industry.

Little-Lee has become so bitter and twisted over the years. He will stop at nothing to 'ruin everything' that is professional bodybuilding!

I aint assuming shit...you are. The IFBB isn't basing their decision on his fan base...if he cared that about his 10 million fans, he never would have left to begin with...

He was suspended for a year...then you have to submit to be reinstated...he was turned down.

No one said he is banned forever...just you.

If they wanted to get technical, they could have just moved his suspension date to the last infraction, which would have been the last NOC show he did overseas anyway...

Bottom line is, he wanted out... and out he got.

Is the IFBB so sensitive and immature that it can't take a little criticism? Does it ever think it will be considered by the general public as a respectable organisation? Bodybuilding attracts people on the fringes of society who enjoy watching freaks and odd characters. Their will always be a Lee Priest, he appears to have become a scapegoat for the IFBB, and once gone he will be soon replaced by some other rebel.

Hey, Lee said he can't stand the Rules of the IFBB and so he chose to leave. He got suspended when he tried to come back after crapping on the Weiders, Robin, AMI and everyone else associated with the industry.
He's grown, matured and is now a Man on an Island without the PDI, which we all said would happen.
That said, he will have to apply for re-instatement, wait in line and see what happens.
Unfortunately for Lee, you simply can't SHIT where you Eat and later expect Desert when your bellies full. $:-\$
Too bad the PDI thingy didn't work out
