BB with Thyroidectomy?

I've just been told I have to have a thyroidectomy. I'm really nervous and worried about my bodybuilding and weighlifting future.
Has anyone here had a thyroidectomy, thyroid surgery, of problems? I'll appreciate your stories, comments, experiences, support.

Dude, you probably wont get much response as this can be a loaded question. Are you looking for drug advise? Your doc will have way more answers than us meatheads :)

My doc found a thyroid nodule and because of the characteristics the thyroid has to go. I'm really worried about my bb/wliftin future, so if anyone around here has thyroid problems or has had a thyroidectomy let me know about your experience. THANKS!
