Well the guy has taken the whole year off, and has probably been off gear for most of the time.

Hopefully he will be back in 2008.

His calves do look a bit funny though :-\

Considering he has not been in the scene for some time, he looks pretty good. Plus we have all seen gunter morph, no problem if he decides to compete again, which he should, the big names are shot.

When he's out of shape like that, it becomes brutally obvious just how wide his waist really is.  I can't believe he "beat" Coleman that one time.

Coleman was way off though.  265 which would be ok for Coleman if he was not as bloated as he was during that contest.

Gunter's waist is wide, but like you said, it becomes obvious when he's out of shape.  In shape his extremely wide delts give him a good taper.

I would be pissed if I paid money to see him in that shape. He still probably looked better than almost 99% of the audience but come on. Why do promoters continue to pay these guys when they continually show up like that. Some on these guys guest pose once a month so at least try and tighten up two weeks before or whatever. Easy for me to say behind the computer but over and over we see these "Pro's" show up like that. But hey, why not save money and give many of us half of what they pay the pro's and we'd look just like that- flabby, bloated, out of shape!!!!

Sometimes it's contractual, maybe Weider didn't give him enough warning to get into decent shape. ???

Gunter guest posed in West Palm Beach last night. He still has a huge fan base and in demand.

 I had a chance to chat with him this weekend and he's made it to the final stages of being an American Gladiator. At the airport he had people coming up to him asking if he was in BeerFest and the Saturn Commercial.

I thought that he decided to quit bodybuilding altogether and attempt acting though
