The MD message board just snagged one of two or three
worthwhile industry figures who are regular posters at Getbig. Now I wonder what they can do to entice Chick, Dan, etc...
MD is the best magazine in the business, has by far the best and most comprehensive (this is indisputable) contest coverage, and yes it has waaaaaaay too many ads (but who cares?), and the articles by "pros" are all ghost-written (probably necessity when dealing with non-professional writers), but it still kick's
Flex's ass.
MD is also fast becoming the best bodybuilding site on the Web, founded on positive discussion of topics of interest to BODYBUILDERS, and with the participation of leading experts in the industry. It's also a place where you can post almost anything that anyone would reasonably want to post without getting banned (despite a few murky bannings, but that was in the past), notwithstanding the false impression being perpetuated.
The MD radio show is slightly inferior to PBW in terms of production values, but no longer in terms of guests. Sure, PBW had Jay Cutler on (Mr. Exciting himself!), but here's who has been on No Bull Radio in the past six episodes: Dennis Wolf, Shawn Ray, Flex Wheeler, Rich Gaspari, Victor Martinez, Victor Conte, Dexter Jackson, Melvin Anthony, Steve Weinberger, Iris Kyle, Gerard Dente, and more...
Shawn had a decision to make to either (a) stay and play with the teenagers on Getbig and have a laugh... often at his own expense (Getbig
is the funniest site on the Web, imo) or (b) align himself with the rising star in the Bodybuilding world. He made the smart choice, as he always does!
