American Gangster is a 2007 crime film written by Steve Zaillian and directed by Ridley Scott. The film stars Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe. Washington portrays Frank Lucas, a real-life heroin kingpin from Harlem who smuggled the drug into the country in American service planes returning from the Vietnam War. Crowe portrays Richie Roberts, a detective who brings down Lucas' drug empire.Filming was done in New York, and American Gangster is slated for a November 2, 2007 release.

I watched it on DVD Thursday night...good flick, but I think they made it longer than they needed it to be.
I love when the guys head gets bashed-in, in the piano! ;D

Saw it in the cinema.

Good film. Enjoyed it very much as i'm a fan of the gangster-genre.

Movies are expensive in Omaha. They are still only like 10 bucks in Michigan.

awesome movie. its comparable to training day. denzel is, if not THE best, one of the best actors, imo, of all time.
