Do you think the states will pass an Amendment that allows people born out of the country to run for President? I cannot think of any good reasons why a US citizen of, say, 21 years living in the US cannot become President. After that period of time, their allegiance should be well known and evident.

I don't think he'll run in 08 but I wouldn't be surprised if he does in 2012.

Definitely not in '08, but I would vote for him if her were to. The 'you have to be born in the country to run for prez' law isn't a great one, in my opinion, and should be changed. Let American citizens vote for whomever they wish to become president-hell, even if the American citizens vote in a person who has never even been to the states, they should be allowed to do it. The crux of democracy is the freedom of choice.

Anyone should be able to run. It's up to the American people to either vote them in or not.

I think the policy of non native residents being ineligible for the presidency is extremely sound... imagine the possibilities and scenarios that could arise from changing that.

I do like his stance on some platforms, but not all... especially the fact he is a gun grabber, not surprising though being gov of kalifornistan.

I wonder how big lou feels, pimping his photos for 20 bucks a pop, while arnie doesn't even take a salary last I heard and is a multi millionaire and governor of cali... epic bitterness. goes to show you just how mad at the world he is suing his own brother for using the ferrigno name in his supplement store... even though they both have the same birthright to the surname.

it takes a long time to pass a constitutional amendment. 10 years is probably average. no states are close to pass such a thing. No legislature controlled by the opposition party would pass it with such a charismatic candidate waiting in the wings.

Schwarzenegger will probably run for Diane Feinstein's senate seat, even though Maria has threatened to leave him if he does. And the way that Feinstein has been alienating her base (acting too much like Lieberman), Schwarzenegger could win.
