I dont know if I would say that we are the MOST hated, but Im sure we are up there.  And honestly I believe that ALL gov'ts lie to some extent.  But dont get me wrong I dont belive in this war, I think we are here for all the wrong reasons.  I hate my job (Convoys) with a passion.  This will be the last time I come over here though because Im getting out.  Its hard to explain I guess, I believe the govt lied about the situation in Iraq prior to the invasion to get the American public behind the cause, but it was all bullshit!
you're not the most hated, israel is number 1 in that list but the u.s. comes second!your answer honours you!i salute you! :)

I actually agree to a point.  Our country is a prideful one.  We like to pump our chest out when someone doesnt listen to us.  We need to get in line with alot of the European countries on issues ranging from politics to the environment.  Europe is a much nicer place to live without worrying about crime and shit like that.  Of course you have your bad areas, but for the most part Europe is safe.
true!

NOt a soldier, but most of the hate is pure jelousy of fantasy lives portrayed on American TV shows.
REAL America has - Lots of poor people living pathetic and hopeless lives....  ;)

Ive travled LOTs. I'll NEVER forget the priceless looks on the faces of a bunch of guys in the Lisbon night club who asked me what Holleywood BLvd is like... I told them there are homeless people sleeping in the bushes of the Ferrari dealership there at night...

It destroyed their dream of a dreamland.

The USA is headed downhill FAST IMO. Frankly a good exit strategy might be a smart idea for them w/ the buck$ to make it real...
I heard GW even bought a big spread down Patagonia way.

Because the population is overrun with immigrants who contribute nothing of value to the society except more mouths for us to feed.  I'm not big on telling people what they cannot do but if poor and illegal immigrant families did not have so many or any children here, it would make a big difference in the long run of government spending.

You should also tell them about the countless stories of men and women who made great lives for themselves out of nothing and how virtually everyone has an opportunity to live well in this country.

Yes, they could clearly see me; But they also need a dose of reality & truth about those who cant afford to travel.

Can anyone here remember a time when the world WASN'T about to fall apart?

It's always been teetering, yet we've always perservered.  The minute the govt announces "everything is A-ok", something minor happens, and they get voted out for being complacent.

All leaders keep job security by keeping folks a little bit worried.  Worried people vote for those who seem informed, and capable of fixing the perceived problem.

USA is hated at the moment in a lot of areas.  Dollar is weak.  But we have fingers in the snooch of every country in the world.  Dollar is basis for oil trading.  we're not going anywhere.  Our kids and grandkids will be debating this same shit on getbig in 20 or 40 years, as President Chelsea seeks re-election.  Relax.

I used to think that.   Until recently.  I realized the neocons are bad guys, but they're positioning us stronger with bases and pipeline.Think about it... hasn't it ALWAYS been unsustainable?

For every mnfg or tech advantage we've lost, haven't we put in a new military base on USSR's border or new pipeline into iraq?

Maybe our new sustainable competitive advantage ISN'T a product like a car or phd programs.  Maybe the new advantage is global position or oil access?  ;)

Good guess.   :)  I will indeed tell you about freedom . . . yada yada.  What a great country.  Best in the history of the world in fact.  So great and so free, that we allowed the leader of a country (Iran) whose people want us dead travel freely in our country and make speeches at our universities.  I bet we provided protection for this guy at taxpayer expense too.  Imagine Bush going to Iran to give a speech.  lol.

The opportunities to earn a decent living, buy a home, raise a family, etc. are endless in this country.  That's why we lead the world in immigration.  That's why people flood our borders, legally and illegally, every year.

What % of Iranians want us dead, Beach Bum?

Ballpark numbers are fine.  You're confident enough to speak for 70 million people you haven't met, so I'm guessing you have some good data to back up this claim.

I'd love to see your passport stamps guy, you aint seen that much I bet. Maybe Millitary tours that create a distorted viewpoint. Not knockin MIll Profs, but it gives the average GI a very distored world view of lands fucked up by US policy.
(Trust me I know plenty of Mill/ExMill ::) boys in some very wierd jobs  ;))
Plenty of them chicken head & snake soup eaters cant stand to live in the USA anymore when they retire.

For those w/ wealth the USA is getting 2-Be a good place to be FROM. For those with nothing (SA Latinos etc) a good place to come to.

What exactly would seeing my passport prove?  I've been to Tijuana.  We live much better than those guys.

Whatever so-called worldwide hatred of America exists is trumped by the millions of people migrating to this country.  Land of the free, home of the brave mang.  How's that for parroting?
