Colts vs Pats
« on: October 28, 2007, 06:50:56 PM »
Pats are winning game by an average of 25.5 points.

Pats won something like 52-0 today.

Colts struggled early on against Carolina.

What is your prediciton for next sunday, when two undefeated teams play?

Patriots AT Indy.

Pats destroyed one of the fastest / best defenses in the NFL today. Colts are a very good team. There d is comparable to Washington's speed wise. Redskins hit harder imo.

Pats and colts are both great teams. I think NE comes out on top due to the offensive firepower and a slighty better defense IMO. While the colts D is very good they have yet to face any top O's this year. I think NE moves the ball for long sustained drives keeping the colts off the field tiring out the smaller colts d. If vice versa happens the colts will tire out the pats bigger players with a no huddle. Both O's are a nightmare to stop. I think the pats have the slight edge tho.

It will be close. Pats by a score.

I liked what I saw from the defense and running game this week. They had always been runing well but really didn't need to. I;m breaking out the Mauroney jersey for the Colts game. I think that getting Sey in was good and for whatever reason we stiffened on the running game but the Redskins had to give that up pretty quick. I think that this was a good indication of what they may have to to do early against the dolts. It will be interesting to see if Sanders will move up in the box or play a conventional safety position. I think running this past week will give the Dolts question marks as to what we're going to do. They limited LM's touches and Faulk is running better then I've ever seen him. Mauroney was in for 24 plays.  Kyle Brady hurt?..Body if u hear anything please post.

I think the run game got better because big Sey is back in the mix. Honestly no one is going to keep up with 100 percent intensity when they are up 35 points at the half. I think the pats d had a little humble pie and played like they where capable yesterday. Asante Samuel is playing out of his mind right now.

There was speculation Kyle is hurt. Which would suck because he is a absolute beast a run blocking. I also heard he is fine. Reiss did not report anything , and he is usually on top of that. I talked to a few people and word is the pats where probably being careful with him due to the lead. I hope Watson plays.  Welker and Watson would pose nightmore match up problems for the colts.

Koolaid looked very very good last night. He is going to explode.

Reiss reported it today I guess, but he's the only guy so far. I'll have to check the Herald site. I thought they did alot of things very well yesterday. I imagine vrabel will win defensive player of the week. I think Sey gives that line a lift. Green is more a pure pass rusher, Sey eats up blocks. He wasn't in there alot but he should see way more time against the Dolts. Adai likes to run up the middle and I think we're better suited to stop him. It will be huge if Harrison is out as well as the rookie lineman. The Pats can t off against Wayne and Clark. I was kinda worried about this game but after watching Brady's protection and Mauroney running hard.... They are really making it look easy this year. This is for home field.

This is THE GAME to watch if you like offense.

I'm guessing the over/under for the game will be 60 points, minimum.

The Pats will be kicking themselves if he leaves as a free agent next offseason. He only signed the one year tender. Looks like he was worth the money after all.

Imo you cant sign every player to whatever they want and expect to stay on top. If the pats offer him a great deal and he turns it down to make jumbo money from someone else there is really nothing they can do. Who knows maybe they can get him signed. Either way they still have leverage. They can trade him or franchise him again ( Which they would not do because they promised they would not).

Pats are pretty good at picking good corner's in the later rounds. Asante is not worth 80 million dollars. I would love to get him signed, but that would be a huge sum to commit to a corner on a team good at picking corner's. They have a pretty nice group of players back there now. Years past the secondary has been jacked up with injuries. Meriweather is the future. I think he could be a corner. He has the hips and the speed.

Jackson had a neck injury. Harrison didn't even make the trip...its been awhile since the Dolts had big injuries before a Pats game. Its nice to see them limp into a game

The colts secondary is not as big a strength as the stats would lead you to believe. They have yet to face a true top offense this year. The colts corners are not going to be able to contain everyone.

He's got the most tackles. I was more concerned with the Skins secondary but I'm not sure if they played yesterday. The Colts have not played anybody with a high powered offense. They's ve played teams with good defenses but those teams have come with some curious schemes against Manning. Once the Jags got pressure on Manning last monday, he had problems. Why not do that all game. The Jags were able to shut down the long pass, so they were able to throw more at Manning, yet it took them until the second half to try and do that. They also run a 4/3 and Manning is much better against that. Teams always seem to go away from their strengths against the Colts. We did it last year during the regular season, no run attack etc. Lets not try and trick them, pound Manning and stop Addai. Manning looks whinier then ever this year. Also I hope they run up the score so we won't have any questionable calls like during the AFC championship game. The damm NFL had to apologize for two bad calls that killed us.

I think teams like the jags get worn down because of the colts O, and also because there own O cant stay on the field long enough to give them them a rest. The colts d can be worn down if you can sustain long drives on them forcing them to overpersue. Since they go with the smaller faster guys a lot of energy is exerted on every snap working against the bigger Offensive players.

In all honesty the colts are yet to face a O like the pats.

I think its a complete tossup because the patriots have played an amazingly weak schedule and the colts haven't been challenged either.  I hope that the patriots lose though, i can't stand those fuckers.

Weak based on what....The teams on the schedual looked pretty tough on paper. The Cowboys and Skins both have pretty good defenses. The Colts played teams with good defense but poor to average offenses..besides these two teams are on another level. The Cowboys had the best offense that either of these teams have faced. Nobody can hang with them. I'd say the Steelers could be tough but if Ben has to pass more then 15 times they are in trouble. The ravens can't score and the defense is banged up. The Bolts are on the rebound. This game and the AFC championship will be better the SB, no matter who gets in. I worry about every game the Pats play, I worry about injuries etc . They are going into this game fairly healthy.

first off i like the colts alot more than the pats.

that being said im gonna have to pick the pats over the colts. the pats are just to frikkin good right now. watching the game yesterday my jaw dropped so many times watching brady that i have bruises. the guy is incredible...and moss makes some of the most amazing grabs.

i think it will be close but ya the pats are the better team right now and should win

I won't really be able to debate this rationally....I FRIGGEN hate the Colts...hate them. I hate Manning, I hate Dungy, I hate Polian....I hate the fans  so ur not getting anything but major homerism from me on this. I do respect them so based on history 7 points or less, based on this season 21 points, based on my heart 56-17 Pats ;D
