USC Fullback Brandon Hancock
« on: October 29, 2007, 08:33:52 AM »
This friend of mine, a sophomore with a very good build but nothing out of the ordinary, wants to get on the juice. He says he wants a "powerful" physique, "functional strength" etc, but not to be a competitive bber.

I resisted the urge to lecture him about how sophomores really shouldn't be using steroids (unless they want to compete in some tough bbing contest for example), and especially not in this current climate.

He says he wants a physique like that of former Trojans fullback Brandon Hancock, and insists it can only be achieved with at least some drug use. I tried unsuccessfully to convince him that he could build something along those lines without drugs.

Getbig has probably the most critical bunch of cynics of any forum, so what do you guys think of this physique: juiced or not?

not necessarily at all. genetics are the most important factor.  if your friend is nothing like hancock in terms of genetics theres no way you can say whether its achievable naturally or not.
its comin today

It is possible, but highly unlikely he built that physique without the assistance of anabolics.

Hard to tell since many of the photos are him alone. The first photo he looks jacked, like he could be The Thing in the Fantastic Four. The other photos look like he's decently sized and ripped from hard work in the gym and on the field. There is not really a good example of him compared next to someone like Ronnie Coleman size.
Given that he's a football player, I'm going to say he's definitely doing something due to the nature of the sport today.
I'm going to guess the friend you speak of, is a sophomore in college and not high school? If it's the latter, he CERTAINLY SHOULD NOT take anything for reasons too numerous to list. And it's the former, it's up to him, but I would try to lead him away from using as a means to get huge. Tell him it's possible that Hancock looks huge, but compared next to someone else he might be tiny. Remember Chick's saying: "It's not how much you lift, it's how much you look like you lift!"

Yes sophomore in college. He's also a pretty strong dude compared to most sophomores, eg benches 315 for reps, deadlifts in the upper 300's, etc.. but his physique is smaller than he would like.

Fuck, even Tom Prince weighing 312lbs @ 5'7" or so, was asked how he felt compared to a normal person, and he said he still felt small.

Tell him to stay off the anabolics until he's out of school.

A little GH won't hurt, but tell him to stay away from anything else for now.

Squadfather, yes I know what you mean, but you know how college kids overdo the bench, at the expense of other body parts especially legs.

When I'm squatting they're benching.

When I'm doing back they're benching.

When I'm benching they're benching.

Every 19-20 year old guy goes through that phase of focusing heavily on bench.

brandon has some pretty big and somewhat bloated cut up abs. that should cause a few alarm bells to the more discerning.

your friend is right, brandon is on shit.

let you in on a secret, every pro football player lives and breathes for a multi million dollar contract. each and every single one of them will do anything to get there. taking their vitamins is not even a second thought. ;)

You're a sucker if you think he's natural!  ::)

I love college football, but nowadays with the money/draft on the line, they'd be doing themselves a disservice NOT to be on it.  There are a lot more NAACP players on it than you might think....really  :o

And I know we all want to idolize the trojans....but they're humans too and require assistance  ;D
just not good enough
