Ronnie is not supposed to ever be under 285, and that is being conservative. He would be find at 287-292. Like Markus Ruhl, he does NOT look better smaller. His physique is so used to being so big, that he can't "streamline" as one would think would be ideal in theory. Although in 2005 he did manage to do it...

http://www.bodybuildingpro.com/ronniecolemantheunbelievabledvdLet's be honest, seven years later and Cutler is at least three years away from looking like this:

And even that is "in theory". If Cutler could continually to improve, he could potentially look like that in three years, but honestly, he has maxed out!
If Coleman shows up next year the way he looked in 2006, I think he could make top three. At this point, and being 44 by then, it's tough to say how he will look. Other pros like Gary Strydom have managed to come back fresh looking at an advanced age, but that is after giving his body a break for many years. Some genetic freaks like Albert Beckles and Vince Taylor have also managed to look good at a more advanced age, but it's hard to determine exactly how Ronnie will respond after so many years of bodybuilding at his level.
Lastly, as for Coleman's standing ovation, that was only really present because it was a celebratory one to honour Ronnie for his years in bodybuilding. It's not as if he will get one every year that he competes from now on. He IS appreciated by the fans and I think the ovation helped him to fully understand that in a very profound away, but there is also something to knowing when to throw in the towel.
He can easily win other pro shows still up to and including the Ironman and possibly even the Arnold Classic depending on who is competing, but again, it's important to know when to throw in the towel. I say this as one of Ronnie's biggest fans.
