ronnies days of placing top 3 are over. most certainly by next year. he may win the arnold since heath probably wont do it. ronnies shown in 2006 and 7 that he cant get back to the old ronnie in condition, shape or symmetry. win the arnold, and let that be his swan song. no amount of trying will get him even top 2 at the o.

Well, I think Big Ronnie loves bodybuilding. He knows he'll have a tough time against those young and Hungry lions onstage these days, if his heart is still into bodybuilding,Why not competing?

If the guy loves competing ( even if he cant win ) then why shouldnt he??? Some people dont just enjoy things because theyre the best, if he wants to get up there just cos he enjoys it then good for him

Ronnie should not compete again, but should be paid a huge fee to guest pose ( in top shape ) at The Olympia and Arnold Classic.

As Ronnie states on prosource...

"Dude I'm gone be big all my life as big as possible. As far as doing another show, yes I'll be competing in like the Arnold and maybe some European shows. If I win the Arnold I may go for the Olympia again, maybe. That song you're talking about is by Scarface, its called Fame.
Bodybuilder Translation: If I retire, I lose all of my income and ruin my chance to continue to collect $200K/year for sitting around the house watching 'Flava of Love' while eating BBQ Wings. So I'll announce my intent to compete in 2008, sign another contract, and then pull out with "injuries". But don't worry, I'll be back better than ever in 2009...hear that sponsors??

Most of the guys on the Olympia stage know they aren't going to win and still compete so why shouldn't Ronnie?  Let the man do what he loves if he wants to do it.

I know most people will hate to hear it, but i'm pretty sure Ronnie earns more than $200k a year. ::)
No doubt about it...

Tales of Delusion and Grandeur. He took a 100K paycut alone on the Mr. O. Ronnie is very lucky to be making 200K without working. Last time I checked, the Arlington PD doesn't pay guys to lift weights.

Ronnie's bsn deal only will make him 550k a year alone. Of course things might change in near future but he's still making a big buck.

The jig is up. His deal is over. Nobody's paying a has-been, on-his-way-out 4th place Olympia guy more than 150K, and IMO, that's too much. May as well just sign Lee Haney or Shawn Ray and use the old photos because no one wants to look like Ronnie anymore.

They can always call him 8-time Mr. Olympia and go with that ;) Ronnie's a guy who will not be forgotten and I think that he still is the biggest fan favourite. That just might bring a few bucks in his wallet. :)

Like I said...may as well sign Lee Haney. Actually, the best deal going now has to be Dennis Wolf. He needs to cash in now. Wolf has more value from here on in than Ronnie Coleman.

After this years decision why not compete? Their not judging it on physqiues.

Ronnie needs to sign with Muscletech. If he does he could win the Olympia again.

Ronnie, don't do it.  You can't win with your fucked up lat and tricep.  That's a fact.

If it was just an issue of not coming in conditioned, well that's different.  Sure, make a go of it...but now?  Pointless.  Will he ever place in the money again?  Probably not...not enough money to make it worth it.

It'll be sad to see him up there if only cause you know he's competing just cause he can.  One things for sure...who cares about damn standing ovations?  You're RONNIE COLEMAN for crying out loud.

I don't know where i stand on this. It would be cool to see Ronnie keep appearing on the stage, but its hard to tell if he will be able to improve on what he is left with.
Also, why should Ronnie tarnish his stellar competitive record. Yes, he may love competing, but no-one wants to see an 8xMr Olympia, start placing worse and worse. Maybe Ronnie should pack it up, consider his health and family. Up to him though.
No doubt about it...

If he does decide to compete, the left lat and back definition has to come up because the judges will always throw that at him as a reason to place him down. Personally, I hope he calls it a day on stage and just stays in the industry on the business and promoting end. The body can only take so much before you start going backwards.
