At work today bro my assistant got pissed at me because I wouldn't eat one of a bunch of tamali's she bought at the train station.  I'm pretty sure the fact that she's gained 15 pounds in the last 3 months has something to do with it, too.  And the better you fucking look, the more PISSED people are when you eat chicken and rice in front of them.  I mean, PISSED.  They show you so by all the fucking assinign questions they ask.  EVERY TIME they see you eating it.  And they'll stick and snarl their nose in the air and be like, WHAT'S THAT SMELL?  acting like chicken, rice and barbecue stinks like shit or worse.  The list goes on...

I know for a FACT that putting up with other people's insolence and hate is WAY harder than enduring the diet or cardio.

Good God, you turned down tamali's??? Whats the matter with you man? I love tamali's!!

Man this thread has taken a weird turn :o.

Alex A The Waddy is actually a pretty cool guy, hes just a bit nuts like most of us here.

The thing is a couple of your posts came across as a little conseeded and thats why people jumped on ya. I know you where just saying the truth and I totally agree with you, if you are at a stage where you need 110% focus, you don't have time to chat about the weather with every guy in the gym. It's just its the internet mate so it's all in the way it comes across to others ;).

Ya look great Alex A, but you can't let this stuff get to you mate.

haha "if you see me go ahead and try to start shit with me" im merely giving you some words of wisdom i dont care about fighting one iota. You chose to take offense and "we are the god in our story" so dont blame me and get pissed off you have choices... people in the wrong easily get offended. If you stand up for what you beleive and knowing yourself that everything you do is nobel you would have zero attitude , because you would simply be that confident and assured.

also lets remember if i call you a "dick" dont be offended its only the internet. Ive been called everything and you know what you should learn to find the humor in things or let it go. im not going to call you any more horrible names i can tell you are a touchy one like mcfarland

waddy since you are a natural bodybuilder..you need to appriciate advice from thjis fella,,he doesnt use much and its very easy to tell,, not hormone freak like me and jason and dorian and gaspari and mishko,,listen to what he has to say might teach you some things since you want to do it mainly natural way,,,sometime its time to listen that dude is pretty low dosed for his level of colmpetition

sorry everyone, lets stick to bodybuilding. Not brawling.

Sorry I came accross that way. But I was telling you what I was thinking, not doing. I try to be as nice as posibble. Shit, I give out free advise all the time, help people out free, and am always there  at the shows to support people who compete.

See, I dont like people starting shit, calling me names and hiding behind the computer. Its like the kid in the playground that hits you then hides behind the teacher.  Some guys are funny how they call you names, point out every detail of your physique. Just hate the shit out of you.  But its ok, cant make everyone happy. Lets just all be  nice and end it.

Since some guys here have nothing positive to say, Lets not hear from you and I wont talk about you anymore either.  Deal?

Well put it this way, what you do in the off season defenitely affects how you look now. Off season, im kinda small, flat, in really good condition. Im not big, full or super strong. I feel great, lots energy etc. I stay pretty clean and do my cardio and eat right. My wife got pregnant very easy. I remember the day.  That would not probably be the case otherwise.  I am not a big dude at all. Laugh at me, whatever.. Im 160lbs. I dont give a crap. I make the best of what I got. I havnt gained but about 12 good lbs since i started competing.  Not trying to move up the weight classes or make a career here. Im like most of you guys, just having fun.

To me, if I committ to competing, I put all my efforts into it. I wont say im doing a show unless I follow through all th eway.  But I just like off season training, staying in shape, I like to work out. For some people it is a chore. Well, let me take that back. There are times, many times I wonder what the hell im doing here?  Dont you guys? THis shit can be torture, and you seem to get no where.  How about me? I compete, i eat clean, etc. I train hard, etc. and Im just a 160lber. So, please dont get me wrong

I never, never walk around the gym with my lats flared out.  I have worn a tank top less than ten times in a year and that is only recently. Only in the best possible shape. I dont drop the weights, yell, hog the machines, talk, bully people around. Im probably the nicest guy in the gym. I shared with you some thoughts I had. Some people can relate, others think Im a prick! but man, I think Ive been pretty nice here. I get people calling me names, behind their computers, picking me appart etc. And then whe I react. Im a dick.  Let me tell you, its all about bodybuilding here. Lets stay on task.

I never ever hold a grudge. Im sure DADDYWADDy is a great guy. I fuckin bet it, Ragging bull too. Some of my best friends I have fought with in the past. But i forgive and forget. Im not stuborn and stupid. I appologive to you guys ok.  I want to be a good guy to everyone and want to be approachable and not have people hating me and me hating them etc.  Sound like a deal..

Look how Alex handles himself here.  He's sincere and humble.  Reminds me alot of jrod, the OTHER guy on the site who can dial it in 100%.  And seriously, are there more than 2 people that actively post here that we've seen super-shredded like this?  That's how rare the phenomenon is.  I believe there to be a definite correlation between decency in character and conditioning.  The guys that have a chip on their shoulder just don't get into 100% shape like this.  I'm sure Alex is indulging here...it's not quite the real world, and I've invited him to give us a glimpse into his mindset, so telling us what he thought about the guy in the locker room, or telling Raging Bull to meet him somewhere is an artificial outlet...it "doesn't count" entirely.  The same way that an internet troll would never go up to Alex in real life and so blatantly challenge him.  I'm sure you'd NEVER catch Alex behaving this way in real life, but this is a very valuable, honest glimpse into the psychology of a great bodybuilding competitor.

Now as for the way Alex perceives people...you can tell there is a definite bend on his perspective in all this...the story about the guy in the locker room asking him about the protein really sticks out for me.  There's no way in hell that guy came at Alex looking the way he does with that much intended malice...but that's the way Alex took him.  I wonder if it's a subconscious mechanism for your mind to make "the enemy" out of everything not pushing to the extreme, so as to fuel your competitive pursuit.  There must surely be an advantage to adopting a "wartime" mindset during a 100% full-blown prep like this.  It's like the point made in Fight Club...we have an evolutionarily-developed instinct to fight for survival and bodybuilding competition is just one more way that some people take on to artificially fill that void.  Some people are just wired to overcome hardship and adversity and when there is none, or relatively very little, we do what we must to maintain our sanity.

I'm also pretty sure that being in the depleted state Alex is in heightens your sense of when people are fucking with you.  All the little subconscious subtleties that show their resentment of your reaching for more than what is in their comfort zone.  Ha ha..."what kind of protein powder do you use?"  Like that was a valid question.  You don't look at Alex and wonder if it's Weider or Met-Rx that might be doing it for him.  So right off the bat that guy's jerking his chain to a certain extent.  And when you have to answer poorly focused questions when there is no excess energy to respond in a way that addresses their specific inquiry, but still give them an answer that they are gonna be satisfied with, it's easy to resent them for being so whimsical.  Who does that guy think he is to expect Alex to have the time to fiddle with his bullshit, looking like that?  As if that guys has EVER seen a guy as conditioned as Alex before in his life.  Knowing full well why he isn't in shape...he's probably rarely hungry for more than 30 minutes at a time, and he probably skips most of the exercises for most of the reps that he knows would yield true results.  He's just being lazy as fuck in his pursuit, and he's projecting his resentment of his own lack of discipline by subjecting Alex to his ridiculous inquiries.  If you've ever spent much time in the upper echelon of human development you know all too well how these things work.  Being great is a bitch...not so much for what it takes physically to get there, but when dealing with people.  Remember how focused Nasser was in his interview on his disdain for people in general, after looking the way he has for so long.  People stop treating you as human after a certain point.  Nasser's best friend is his friggin' dog, which he was willing to pay $70,000 dollars for to get in the divorce.  This is why.  Sato is Nasser's best friend.  Looking the way Nasser does, people don't assume you need a thing from them, and assume it's your job to help them...the problem is, you never stop being human...you still have feelings, you still have needs, you still want to have people to talk to that just keep it real.  At least for Alex still at this point, he can turn it off at a certain point.  He can cover up and stop the comments.  For Nasser, there was no place to hide, whether clothed or posing in the gym, so you get a very bitter person when it's all said and done...jaded and alienated from the rest of the world.  Adopting the ability to get along with people looking like a pro must be an art in and of itself, and I'm sure it has alot to do with why you rarely find these people in workplace scenarios where they have to deal with "normal" people.  It's all just too draining to make it worth it.  People seriously don't know how to act around someone looking like an incredibly gifted IFBB pro.  I have enough of my own problems operating in a professional environment at my own level of physical development and I'm not even what I'd consider huge OR shredded yet.  You really have to adopt a very non-resistant personality, and while you are at work, you ARE DEFINITELY being "paid to fake it."  Howie wants to know why an IFBB pro doesn't work.  Well this is why.  Being in excellent shape can make you feel like the whole world is against you.  These points have rarely been addressed on these boards and this is great that we are finally getting around to doing so.

What we should be providing Alex with here is as much support as we are capable of generating, because he is truly representing us all in his pursuit...he is going for it.  He is doing what we all wish we were right now.  That is what bodybuilding is all about right there...Alex is in the zone and if you have a lick of real bodybuilder in you all you wanna see is that maintained to see how far he can make it here.  Notice that every hardcore competitor with a true appreciation for the sport has already replied and given support in this thread...that's the way it works.  All the guys who have ever gone through this.  We recognize someone who is riding the wave into the unknown...Alex's progress here is progress for us all.  There's alot to be learned here.  Threads like this are pure gold.  I'm here to ultimately figure out how to get to where Alex is at and I will fight with all I have to see that he stays on target.  I'm all over this one, believe me.   8)

Now don't get me wrong...even some of the prodding Alex has received, I somewhat see him as having been asking of that.  So everyone that's responded here has given Alex a little of what he needs.  I think he needs guys like Raging Bull to a certain extent.  I can tell, that gets him going.  So whatever it takes, man.  If he's responding to them, he needs it.  Just be mindful of this, Alex.  From where I'm standing, Raging Bull is entirely fucking with you.  If you feel like that's getting in the way, as opposed to helping you get 2 more reps in your leg workout at this point, just put it aside...you don't have a thing to worry about if you leave those comments unaddressed.

alex a is a bit of an idiot for coming onto getbig, posting his pictures and not exepecting anyone to even
mention his drug use.. 2 weeks out is not the time to be trying to win fans on a message board

I'd venture to guess that he does less than a gram a week, keeps his growth under 4iu's, and might use clen and anti-estrogens somewhere in the last month before competition.  So having that been said, can we move on?

And his self-promotion here is extremely wise, IMO.  It is very easy to go to Nationals and not even get a call out.  That is  common fear amongst even the most stage-ready guys going to Nationals.  After this thread, he will very likely be in the first callout in his class.  You've simply gotta make sure they know you're coming, and at this point, everyone will be watching for him.  2 weeks out, if you're truly ready, is the BEST time to be "making friends" on a message board, IMO.

And let's face it...making friends on this message board is making yourself known in the industry.  This message board IS the industry.  You can call yourself a member of any other board, but you always read Getbig in addition to the place you might call home.   I see alot of people posting in other places just to feel like they belong somewhere.  IMO the other boards simply exist as safe-haven in that way for them.  Everything noteworthy goes down here.  Which is why you have a thread like this one playing out here.  The best shit is what we get.  And be assured that if anything else on any other board is worth reading, it will be brought here in it's rawest, juciest form at some point, and the "Getbig version" of the thread is gonna be FAR better than the other board's "version" of the thread, anyway.  If I'm reading another board, it's more in the name of "keeping in touch" with a few personalities from the past that don't show themselves on here, but that's really it.  The bottom line is that if you're reading Getbig, you're probably not gonna miss anything, and if you don't, you probably just have your head stuck in the sand in more ways than just one.  You live in a bubble.  It's getting to where the name "Getbig" isn't even mentioned on other forums.  It's like the dark secret that no one wants to bring up...it challenges things.

Props to Alex for doing some major damage in the thunderdome.  If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere.  If you think you've got it going on, come to Getbig and you'll find out what's up.  The verdict is in, and Alex very obviously has it going on.
