So your saying that it makes more sense to believe that the universe with it's complex systems and laws become out of an explotion a quadrillion years ago???? Currently I'm fixing an old house. Do you think that an explotion and a lot of time could build me a new house?
Is that believable???

The Bible, undeniably accurate!!

BTW, what science told you God didn't exist?
haha, Yeah, just don't try to prove it by using facts, and you'll be ok. ;D

For real, they should ban gay avatars.  It's just a matter of time before that shit is on network tv.  The whole being gay thing is great and all, but once you see something like that, it really makes you fucking puke..hahaha

For the non-believers, try and listen (I doubt if most of you are that attentive). Mr. Cortisol, go through this site and listen to some of the lectures. I usually make it a habit to listen to Dr. Misslers programs everynight at 2:30am. The program is a scientific approach most of the questions you might have.

Here's a start......

Training theory and nutrition is a cakewalk compared to even coming close to understanding the Bible, one of the most complex things to understand is the Bible, it takes a minimum of five continuous years to study, cross reference and even begin to understand the contents of the Bible.

No conflicts, people who denie conflicts of the Bible try to use one scripture to try to conflict another scripture, any biblical scolor can tell that the Bible was written with amazing accruacy and there are no conflicts. Too much archeological literature has been found to doubt the Bible's accuracy.
The parts that don't agree with science can always be argued to be figurative.

You are wrong about all biblical scholars believing there are no conflicts. If they have "faith" of course they will see no conflicts. And Christians of the different denominations have very differing views of many key parts. I could poll 10 "Christians" and get 10 different views on a number of key biblical issues.

Trying to prove a thing of faith with science is a losing proposition. Just like I can't use science to make you abandon your faith.

But what if I can use science to bring you to my faith?

Start here.

Most of this is a scientific approach to my "faith", go through it, you seem like a reasonable person.

Hey, you put the picture up. You should have known you would get publicly humiliated.

Coach, give it up man, it's pointless here on the net!  ;)

Whether someone believes in God or not won't be exposed on the net, they wouldn't admit it even if they did....it's COOL/SOPHISTICATED NOT to believe!  get it??

Also, I've heard Chuck Missler, brilliant man, and he would put to shame a lot of the arguments posed here.  ;)

But, what I love is how many soldiers in Iraq now believe in prayer/the Bible (i know from my many friends that are marines out there).  It's easy to bash God at home behind a computer screen.  But on the battlefield or even post 9/11....most Americans were singing a different tune  ::)

But you still need the pure faith part.

"Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen." [Hebrews 11:1]

And if we take the Calvinist view it's not in my hands whether I believe or am 'chosen'.

Yes, that's just one thing, the other is Jesus dying on the cross and being resurrected.

I don't believe things without scientific fact.

The Coach will apply this rule to Hinduism but not to Christianity.  Where is the consistency?

Thats why I said to read and listen to the links I provided, most of it is based on science. I look at as if you're not willing to listen to some of the lectures you're not willing to have an open mind.

Not being a smart ass here...this is an honest question.Since you mention the bible, How do you explain Cain having a wife  and children? The bible says nothing about Eve giving birth to a daughter...at least not before they were booted from the garden of Eden and  not before it talks about cane having a wife.Where did the females come from? My father is a Sunday school teacher and he gave me his explanation..I am just curious what your feelings are.

Christianity:

The belief that some cosmic jewish zombie can make you live forever if you symbolically become a cannibal by eating his flesh and telepathically tell him that you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your  invisible "soul" that is present in humanity because a rib woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree.....

makes perfect sense!  ::)
