I don't think thats really a stereotype as we tend to think of as stereotypes.

I think stereotypes touch on attributes largely considered to be innate, like character, habits, etc... For example, abc's are lazy, xyz's have short tempers, klm's are not trustworhty..

And no, they are not really based on truths  ::) But largely perceptions that are a byproduct of simple patternized thinking, only appearing to simpleton's as truths/facts.

ok i think racism as a concept is stupid since everyone can be judged on an individual basis...ive had no racism whatsoever in my upbringing, ive had friends of all ethnicities, hell ive got a few black aquaintences now, etc, etc.. but shit, everytime im surfing porn and come across a pic of a black dude doing a white(or asian, or latina for that matter) girl such as the pic Bastiano posted of that kim kardashshahasian girl getting drilled by the black dude, for some reason it DISGUSTS ME!!! it just seems so unnatural to me.

why does it spontaneously create this response in my brain? it seems like in my case it is an innate response rather than a learned/conditioned one. just as natural as flinching at a sudden loud noise for example.

surely im not the only one?

No, you're not the only one and no, that reaction to interracial porn is *not* what makes you racist.

It is obviously not unnatural, but it is seen, and has been seen, as a/the racial transgression -ie. the blonde plantation owner's daughter being taken by the field buck. It signifies both a lack of control/surrender for the white and a dominance/reassertion of the black. I suppose when it is no longer seen as such, America will have finally gained some sort of racial reconciliation. That said, huge market out there for it, so I figure all the Strom Thurmonds who publically rail against it can privately get off on it. :-\

90% of white pople who claim that it wouldn't bother them if their son or daughter married a black person are lying. There are the really liberal types who genuinelly wouldn't matter, but most people would. This is also true for Black, Asians, Latinos, etc: they all want their children to marry inside their own race.

A natural degree of racism is innate to Humans. Blacks, however, are regarded by people of all other races as inadequate spouses for their children because they are at the bottom of the social ladder. For instance, most Asians and Whites are far more accepting of their children marrying each other's races than with Blacks.

SUCKMYMUSCLE
This is entirely true, and really includes the black community as well.  Many black people I know have parents who have said they don't want their kid dating or marrying white.  It's a taboo thing in every group.

As far as stereotypes, they exist for a reason.  They exist because they do describe a large population of a group; sad but true.

You are quite wrong about that. look, most blacks are mixed anyway. And a lot are lighted skinned, now many black mothers might take it as a slap in the face that a black woman is not as good as white woman (especially, if he says, "he reminds me of you"). But the majority of black/white relationships are excepted in the black family, because, the kids will be black.  i have have several in my family, and have been around many.

Now, black women CAN NOT STAND it, when they see black men and white women together, you'd think that they would join the KKK, after seeing that.

Then I guess a majority of the black community are racist because of their views on the white community.  I guess the same would apply to those of color that make derogatory remarks against hispanics, but nobody ever calls them out on it.  Remember, only whites can be racist.  ::)

Give examples, I have never heard this (against hispanics). Since I work in a county (the richest in the nation), and we have many latinos asking for black officers that speak spanish.

Examples of what?  Blacks making negative remarks about hispanics having too many kids, only speaking spanish, sneaking across the border, driving like they have no insurance.  Yes, I have heard them all.  I've also heard affluent blacks and those in a good position in life talking about how whites are out to get them and how they are a problem.  After Imus' comments, that's all I heard.  I didn't hear any WOMEN taking offense (which is one of the main parts of his comment) but mainly black men.  Funny how that works.

Hell, what you've said, the Legal Latinos say the same thing if not worse. And if you work where I work (if you have a magistrate system in your state I work for MD's equivalent) , you see the exact same thing. Lying to you that they don't speak English, been here for 3 yrs and NOT know their address, have 3-5 different names, and yes, driving w/o license and/or insurance and it drives legal Latinos
crazy. And they expect YOU to know spanish or write it. Not the other way around. Koreans, Russians, Chinese, Africans, Arabs, if they do not understand, they usually have an interpreter  (this is when I am dealing with the public) .

About, Imus, in hip-hop, have you ever noticed, that they might say "ho" or "bitch", but they don't specify "black ho" or "white ho", but yes the women in their videos are black.

There were many black women who were very vocal, more vocal than the men. It was the glory hound Al Sharpton that made it a bigger issue.

Kinda funny how back in the 70's, that the Rolling Stones had a line in a song that said, "Black girls got no jam" or something like that...but blacks, went on dancing to the music...

Watch "Beyond Beats and Rhymes".  (I had to for class)  In it they bring up "ho" and "bitch" when a group of young black men are talking about scantily clad women at some black gathering in the South and they pointed out these black women, called them over and talked to them women.  They said that they didn't take offense to them calling women bitches and hoes because they know the rappers weren't talking about them.  The documentary creator then said "if George Bush got on tv and said n iggers, I don't think too many black people would say 'I don't know who he's talking about.  He's not talking about me.' "  I found that interesting and funny.  I think black women accept the language because (like in other issues involving black men under scrutiny , ie domestic violence) they don't want to fuel negative views of black men.

Fuck, its not just you, its with everybody. I remember when i dated a black chick, all black people on the street were giving me bad looks, like ive been fucking their sister type of look.

I would have been looking at the girl first, now if you were a ugly dude (black women tend to go out with ugly  or dorky looking white guys, for what reason I don't know), I would be looking at you with a confused look.

But, As I said CAP, black mothers, don't like it when their sons date white women. Black fathers not as much, many don't like the "thug" looking black dudes (even though many are cool), they think that white dudes will treat their daughters better :-\

I'd say your comment is accurate from what I've seen but then again I've known only black dudes so I really couldn't speak first hand for the other scenario.

I agree and yes I 've seen that.  Because of hip-hop, the word "ho" and "bitch" as become synonomous  with the word "woman" or "girl". Like, "that's my Bitch, and what n gga!!"  Jaheim the singer has a song, "Me and my Bitch", the song would be good, if it were not for that word.

I said to a group of people one time, "Back in the 70's, we called each other "sista" and "brotha", now we call each other "ho" and N igga", have we really progressed?

I feel similar..

I mean it seems akward for me to approach certain people, like black women and freckled white women.. Not saying that I'm racist, but they seem akward and at times repulsive.

I don't care about what others do though. Black on white doesn't do anything to me, and neither would a black guy with a hot woman of my demographic. It doesn't bother me.

I mean, I feel more in comfort when speaking to white chicks with black hair/dark brown hair, or my own chicks and latinas. Asian women = fetish thing that turns on and off. But to be honest, they seem unusual to me when I'm not horny.

am I a racist?

Relationship dynamics between two people are determined ONLY by those two people. If one or both people in the relationship decide that popular culture stereotypes and familial pressures are going to dictate the direction of said relationship, they deserve whatever shit comes their way.

As for black on white or vice versa, there are plenty of rotten white people and plenty or rotten black people. If you are smart you date someone that you can trust, is intelligent, good to you, cares about you and is physically attractive to you. Anything beyond this really is nothing more than details I don't think. My biggest problem in relationships is never really being sure what the darn woman wants from me. For some reason I think I am speaking English, however, I am shown more often than I would like, that to them I am not. The stupid head games you can get caught up in should be far more disturbing than melanocyte activity levels.

However, porn is ALWAYS a good thing. :P

Head noddin', cause they knew I was right...

I ain't  scared speak what i beleive, and if there was person who wanted to test, they didn't ...

How about Asian Male/ black woman....I was watching this youtube.com comp about that, kinda madfe me think. I 've only seen two Asian male/black women relationships. Most black women I know wouldn't date a Asian man back in the day, but now they are so hard up for a man, that anything will do.
