It got too ni99erized about 10 years ago, that's when I stopped watching. I used to love hoops, but It devolved into a bunch of hot-dogging dildos that want do nothing but slam and hang on the rim like an Orangutan.

I love hockey, the core sport that is.

I think it takes a great amount of skill and athleticism to play the game and do it well... Certain players, like Cam Neely, Gretsky, Fedorov, Yserman, Lemieux, and so on are amazing... These are not the goons who get into fights, which, in my opinion bring the sport down.

The core sport is fantastic, but the fighting really does detract from the game to me.

Unfortunately, that is what the "casual" hockey fan is looking for.

If NFL players had more stamina I would say yes, but a lot of them would not last 1 full half of play in a game like rugby etc, but on pure Physical speed and strength then yes I'd say they are, all depends on how you define it.......meh best or not I remember watching this little guy when I was a kid, and he played on one of the worst teams in the league as well, such a shame .
