Kevin, in your humble opinion, how does the Yates at his best compare with Coleman at his best? Specifically speak on condition. Thanks

?

he won 6 Mr. O's and only two of them (the first two) were without the crippled left arm.

thats pretty early on in the run.

he was never the same post tear. his arms (both of them) suffered greatly.

just look at shots of 94, 95, 96, 97 etc.

Pretear dorian was much better than post tear dorian. just from the symmetrical standpoint alone (totally ruined any front double bi), never mind everything else.

sure, the dorian nuthuggers might not like it, but this is the way it was.

it was unfortunate that the bi injury happened so early on during his olympia dynasty.

Why do we have to have the truce thread every time one of these guys is mentioned?

Dorian never had good bi's, even before the tears. They were pretty short, and the tear just made them (left one) look even worse. But before all the tears, no-one can deny that he was one hell of a bb'er, i mean i think 6 Mr O titles speaks for itself.
No doubt about it...

Agree about Dorians seminars etc, really like listenin to him, seems alot more interesting and knowledgable than the likes of Ronnie Coleman. Im a fan of both but Dorian dont come across as dumb to put it bluntly

Dorian tried to best his lifts when dieting for a contest, to hold onto as much mass as possible... soon he was a torn man.
Is there any info on how he changed his diet when he made that spectactular progress -> 92'-93' or was it 93' - 94'?
The roids made Dorian look much cooler facewise.

WTF?

we are talking about dorian's training style here and how it affected him.

there is no mention of Ronnie and nothing even remotely similar to the truce thread.

Why do we have to have the truce thread mentioned every time either dorian and Ronnie is discussed in some way shape or form?

pre-contest is prob not the best time to be upping the weights or trying to sustain but, as ronnie has also demonstrated, i guess he just wanted to present the best possible package come contest time.

what is interesting is how he tore his bi.

what if dorian's strict style was responsible? pausing at the top of a 400lb row will put a lot of strain on the bicep, which becomes the weak link and therefore (in that position) cops most of the strain.

add to this lack a lack of nutrients, water and body fat...

I don't think Dorian's training style had anything to do with his muscle tears. There are plenty of HIT trainers right here on Getbig that aren't tearing themselves up.  He was just a brittle dude. Too bad because if it wasn't for the torn bi no one would question any of his O wins, and I for one would put him on the same level as big Ron.

Both were nearly untouchable at their best.

He discovered Insulin and HGH if it was not a comparison i would find it hard to see if it was the same person.

Please correct me if im wrong was it Dan Duchaine and Dorian who first discovered insulin.

So those guys Banting and Best should have their noble prize taken back. It's an outrage. They owe Dorian $1,000,000. ;D

Are you comparing the average trainer to Dorian Yates?  ::) Yates training intensity would have put damn near anyone in a wheelchair within weeks. NOBODY pushed harder than Dorian did. It's scary to think of what Yates would have done with someone like Paul Dillet's genetics.
