You look fantastic Jeremy! I have a few questions. One is, why did you resort to using a nutritionist as opposed to handling the diet aspect of your program yourself? Secondly, what is your work schedule like? How did you manage all this while working? Thirdly, do you think you had kept a lot of gains you had prior to your competition.... could be attributed to your history of AAS use?
Anyways man, I got tons of respect for you, you really pulled it off.
I know this may sound wierd because I am an adult but I couldnt do it by myself. If you are a person that lacks discipline or if you tried your own method and got no where time and time again, I say hire someone who has vast experience and knowledge in that field.
The Air Force put me on a "fat boy" program. They send you to a dietician who thinks they know it all. And this particular dietican was making me eat so much starch which consisted of bread and simple sugars like fruit...and they limited my protein not to mention portion size for protein was so miniscule! This didnt help me it got me more fatter and this was a diet plan given to me by someone who has some type of degree! This person didnt understand my goals or desires about wanting to compete....this person didnt know jack about nutrition!
So I went to Cameron and Tracy Bodner (Team Intense Muscle). And they told me about their experience with dieting and contests and showed me before and after pics of clients they have helped. Not only did these people actually walk the walk, they talked the talk! That was very important to me. These people wrote up a diet plan and evaluated me weekly. I had to hold myself accountable to them....if I cheated, these people could tell by looking at my body and would make adjustments to my diet plan accordingly...
**Again, I had accountability....this was important to me because the previous times I put myself on a diet, I lacked the fortitude and the discipline to do it by myself, these people were blessings to me...
I work from 7:30 Am to 4:30-5:00 PM. I would wake up 4:30 AM in the morning and drive to the gym in order to do my 45-60 minute cardio routine. Get home a little after 6 Am to make my meals and take a shower, Leave home by 7:00 AM to drive to work. Get to the gym by 5:30-6:00 PM to train with weights and do cardio...
As for gains from prior steriod use.... when I first started it was sometime around 1994-1995, I was actually around 190 pounds, when i did dianabol, I went up in weight to over 220 pounds in a matter of months..the strength increase was incredible. I dont think i would have gotten to this weight naturally if I didnt do steroids.
In 1997, joined the military. couldnt use any gear....weight dropped from around 220 pounds to 190 pounds... I still had muscle then. I wasnt big but you could tell that I lifted weight.
In 2002-2003, got on a cycle of sust and deca. My weight shot up to 230-240 pounds. At one point while bulking, my weight shot up to 260-270 pounds (on cycle). I looked like a freakin football player Attached is a picture of me at a little over 240 pounds but I was retaining a lot of water as well.... Military picture, I was a little over 270 pounds (bulked up)
Stopped sometime around mid 2003, when I stopped cold turkey, I couldnt bench even 315 pounds...struggled with 225 for reps, couldnt even squat 315 pounds. When I was "on" I could bench over 315 pounds for over 10 reps with ease.... Squat over 405 pounds for reps with ease, etc
That strength when "off" was gone and body weight started to decrease. down to 220...during that time I got into some type of "depression" if thats what you want to call it so I started doing nothing but eating...and the amounts of food i ate was alot...weight shot up gradually to 260 to over 270 pounds... I looked like a freakin linebacker. At times when I would drop to 250, I wouldnt "look" fat with clothes prbably because I sucked my gut in. But I was still what other people consider "big" as in I looked like I lifted weights and worked out. Even when clean...I could rep 120s-140s for dumbbell bench press, do the whole stack for lat pull downs and back cable rows. I trained "heavy" naturally but couldnt do reps with barbell bench press with 315s or squat 315s...dont ask me why I couldnt do it....I cant do it while "Off" I struggle with squats and barbell bench with 315 pounds....but with dumbbells I am pretty strong...
I dont know if I kept my steriod gains...I think not...I think what saved me was the gains I made while natural and "fat as hell". because if I had kept most of my steriod gains, I believe that I would be around 220s to 230 pounds dieted down to almost no fat on my body but "natural" I went down to 192 pounds...do you see what I mean? I believe if I followed the plan to a "T", I would have been 180s-190 pounds natural if I didnt cheat on my diet and was more harder and drier...
I believe, if a pro stopped juicing....and went down to a natural weight like low 200s, he would have a hard time benching 315s or squating 315s especially if that pro is 5'9" and over. I always wonder how much kevin Levrone could bench now that he is natural or Flex Wheeler can bench or squat now that they are natural...personally I dont believe they can do much as they done while enhanced...but maybe if they trained like natural powerlifters and had the body weight of 300 plus pounds they could do it

**Questions to ask.... are these people genetically gifted? Or chemically/genetically enhanced? I say genetically enhanced. Steriods/anabolics "augments" your genetic potential....
**Squadfather said it best...its not possible for someone 5"10" to 6 feet to be over 210-220 pounds naturally at 10% bodyfat. I only could do it while I was "on". I could never do it naturally....I just proved that at 192 pounds at 5'10" and a half I was under 10% bodyfat (natural). When I was "on" and low bodyfat at 230-240s, I would tell people I was natural...I was such a liar but I did what i had to because I am in the military....and you have people in the military who would stab someone in the back to propel themselves in their careers to make themselves look better or draw attention away from themselves...this is how the real military is...there is a brotherhood or family in some career fields in the military but in my experience and career field, there isnt...you have back biters and fakes who are good for nothing and lazy and will backstab you to propel their careers to make themselves look good.....I call them fakes and asskissers..there are a lot of them in the military especially in the Air Force....
** I am in the military, and someone could use what I said against me and try to put me in jail for something I did in my past...but I cant change my past. I believe its a personal choice. People who use it use it to better themselves and are still law abiding citizens (even though people may disagree) who pay taxes and do no harm to no one....
**Again, what I explained about gear is my personal theory.....
