No man, I'm not married, and I do not have any children. Although, I hope to, one day when I'm ready. My concern at the moment is graduating.

I'm 29, and like an idiot, I still have physical aspirations.  The problem is, I don't have much time. I have tried everything, I have really put it all on the line…But I can't manage my program if I don't commit myself 100%.  So school takes  a precedence, but only for a few more months, then its finally over.  At the moment, I have a lot of pressure on me, and being the emotional eater, I tend to eat when I probably shouldn't, and then I skip meals when I KNOW I shouldn't. I am not fat, but I'm certainly not ripped either. Your story is far more reaching then most, and I think its pretty amazing what you did. Although I must say, if you don't mind me saying, I find it a bit disappointing that your relationship had prematurely ended because of your commitment to the game of iron. I mean, that's a bit extreme, wouldn't you agree?  I really do appreciate your honesty here, and I really do hope you're are a true natural.  It would really be a shame if you're not telling the truth.

On another note, you said permanent mental  side-effects?  What do you mean by this?  And as far your libido, what about PCT?  Did you follow a proper protocol?

In one my relationships, the woman I was engaged to didnt like the fact that I was at the gym 5 days a week, about 2 hours a day or sometimes 3 hours. I guess she wanted to be in a relationship  where 2 people spent quality time with each other. At the time when I was in that relationship, I must say that I placed things above her.... friends, gym time, ect... I tried making the gym a part of her life but it wasnt what she was into....She was a remarkable, loving woman...she deserved better than me...thats all I could say. I learned a big lesson

When I said permanent metal side effects...meaning libido not working...imagine being with a woman and she calls you less of a man because you couldnt get it up at the time.... your self esteem goes low as well and sometimes you begin to feel less of a man because of that bad experience. Im ok now but it really hurt my feelings and I did at the time feel low.
** The time when I went off, I did use nolvadex but it crushed my libido...I also lost muscle mass as well. I didnt understand why nolvadex made me lose my libido because I actually thought it was supposed to help protect against loss of libido and help me keep my gains after a steriod cycle...but it actually made me lose some of my gains... the person who i got my things then from told me nolvadex was supposed to help me keep my gains and help my libido ..it didnt

**I am not a steriod  expert so I cant recommend anything or tell you what something is really supposed to do. A lot of my knowledge is from what the person who sold it to me told me it does. Makes me wonder how they got their knowledge....

I apologize, Steelpegasus..I meant that Ive been and am clean...I didnt mean to insult the true naturals here ....

That was one revealing post.  Credit for being honest there.
What I don't get, is why someone would choose gear over a functioning libido?  I really don't see anything morally wrong with taking gear, my whole thing is I don't feel it's true bodybuilding.

For the overweight people..there is hope ;)

I just checked out the before and after pics of me preparing for this contest! Man, in my mind back then, I didnt think I was fat at all but that picture doesnt lie! I must have been very delusional thinking I was in great shape back then!! LOL

I hired some great dieticians/nutritionists who have competed in figure/bodybuilding shows who put me on a plan!! It really transformed me! I also had an amazing training partner as well! Thank you Sean!!!

I started the plan sometime in August at a bodyweight of 259 pounds and and then competed on Nov 3rd at 192 pounds so it was an incredible transformation! And for you non believers, I did this all without clen or any anabolics. I know many of you are going to doubt me when I say this. I did take fat burners such as venom and I did do a lot of cardio. **Diet and training are the keys!

It wasnt easy but I did it....

If you were to tell me months ago that I would have been contest ready in a matter of weeks and showed me before and after pictures of the person I would become, I would have thought you were insane. But Im living proof that this is real.

I have to say that Mike Arvilla started this spark in me when I saw his transformation! He and someone else inspired me to do this! Thank you Mike Arvilla!

I know Im going to get ripped apart for posting up my before and after pics but I just want to show that if there is a will, there is a way and that there is hope for anyone who wants to better themselves. Hopefully it will inspire Ron or anyone else to get in better shape and then one day compete!

You made my year!! (thanks Bro and again great job!!!!!)

I dont know why myself...maybe because I had aspirations of competing one day and liked that I was becoming more muscler and stronger. Maybe I thought that it would never happem to me because I had an incredible sex drive then. I was wrong...Had to learn a valuable learning lesson from that I guess...

I had my priorities wrong back then....call me stupid...I would never ever trade a working libido over gear ever again...

I agree it is not true bodybuilding...but what is then? What if you did everything you can and not make gains...what would you do?

Its true, Mike...your transformaion started that spark in me and made me believe I can do it...it made me want to compete because you provided that example!

I dont understand how someone can not be inspired by what youve done...it sure has inspired me!!

Well, I think it would be impossible to do everything you can...and still not make gains.  The human body just doesn't work like that.  Maybe not the gains you hoped for, but gains all the same.  I think it's possible for pretty much anyone to put on 25lbs of muscle...no problem.  It make take a year or two for some, but in the end, it is truly your accomplishment.  Is it temporary like drug gains, of course...unless you keep on a consistent program, everything is temporary.  I just never understand how someone can take pride in knowing most of their gains really come from a drug.
I feel the majority of people in bodybuilding are somewhat delusional and believe it's them making these drastic changes and not the drugs mainly.  Sure, you have to go through rudimentary steps along the way like, eat food and go to the gym 4x a week, but really it's nothing more than a guaranteed gain.  Where is the challenge in that?
I wish I could go to the gym one day and have a certain respect for everyone in there.  Today, I go to the gym and think I'm amongst short cutting losers.  I don't even give a shit what they look like.  It's a weak mindset to me.  Not the fact that someone is ingesting drugs, but because 98% of these guys never achieved much without them or even better, had the faith in themselves to really max out their own genetics naturally.  This really contradicts everything real bodybuilding is about.

I can understand how you feel. Personally for me, I needed to get bigger because of being bullied....I would have sold my soul back then for vengeance because what i went through in my past was so bad....

Being bigger and stronger got me respect and made people leave me alone....

But I do understand how you feel because I felt like that at first...

Aren't you @35 or something?  What does being bullied 20 years ago have to do with juicing now?  Wouldn't you rather weigh 20lbs less and know it's all you and not some crazy drug stack?  For me, I just wouldn't feel any accomplishment in that.  Do you?

Yes, I am in my early thirties....

But I guess, Its just like how Dave Pulcinella was explaining how he was bullied when he was younger. I can empathize with him..

I guess getting bigger led to wanting to get more bigger...where you felt small even when people tell you that you are already big..

Doing this contest clean felt like a great accomplishment. It was one of the hardest things Ive ever done. I do feel a sense of pride...

But personally I dont think i look that great....I dont know what I am going to end up doing....

Jer,

You said you recieved council with regards to nutrition. Did they also advise you on Training; for instance, leading up the the show?  Secondly, was it very expensive?

Yes, they advised me on training and cardio.

They wanted me to follow the plan to include the cardio routine. They didnt want me doing extra cardio. Lets say that I felt i wasnt losing enough body weight and had time to kill during lunch, should I go running? No, they wanted me to follow the cardio routine they had on my plan.....2 Sessions...one morning  and one night...started out at 5 days a week that turned into seven near contest time...

A few weeks before contests time, they would tell me to increase my reps to bring in more definition. Example legs....they would tell me that when I trained my legs to try to get 50 reps per set at a lighter weight. A week before the show, they advised me not to train legs, ect. The reason why is because they told me that the legs could retain fluid when its trying to recover from brutal workouts. So they told me no more leg workouts a week out from contest time.

**They didnt write a training routine for me because I was already on a training plan with my training partner. But they did advise what I needed to work on the most and improve upon when they saw me weekly.

Aside from dieting, they advised me on tanning. Believe it or not, I had to tan for this show. They taught me how to do the mandatory poses. They also helped me with my posing routine because I didnt know how to do a posing routine or what to do. Granted I did suck in my posing routine but I thought I did good for it being my first contest and being very stage shy...

I have to mention that the plan they put me on did work but it is also what you are willing to put in and the effort you are willing to put forth. I did end up cheating on multiple occasions on my diet and did miss a few cardio sessions, but I got back on track and let them know if I cheated or not or if I missed a cardio session. They would in turn evealuate my physique and adjust my diet/cardio...

**They didnt put a gun to my head and make me do these things. I had a choice to either follow what they outlined or do my own thing. Ive learned that doing my own thing got me nowhere. What also made it so successful was the feedback they would give me every week to insure that I was doing what they told me. They have a lot of experience to know if i was bullshitting them or not...and they would tell you if they felt you werent following what they said

**At times, I felt like giving up because I missed hanging out with my friends and I also missed eating but things like this take a lot of effort and sacrifice...it wasnt easy at all, I have to admit  that...but it is attainable

Awesome job Jerry!  You seem like a guy with great character, so I don't see a reason not to believe what you have stated.  As a guy who places heavy importance on a person's character, you have my respect.

Sevastase: First of all, I am a newbee.  Flame away if that's what's going to make you happy.  You have a decent physique and should be proud of what you've accomplished so far and should always strive to get better through consistent, intelligent, and efficient training and close attention to your diet.  The drugs?  That's a personal decision that only the person taking them has to live with.  I am a lifetime natural by choice.  I have never used drugs of any kind, only drank a half a can of lite beer on my wedding day as far as alcohol, never smoked, etc.  A square?  Perhaps, but I am happy that I can look my two little kids in the eyes and tell them this.  When I graduated high school, I weighed 167 lbs at 5' 10 1/2"; today I am just a hair under 280 lbs.  Are you saying that I must be lying?  Are you questioning my character?  Sure I have a 40" waist (just like Jerry said he does in the off-season) which I would like to cut down a few inches, but it's OK.  I work about 50 hours a week at a job that I can't get consistent meals in most of the time, am raising a 5-year old and a 2-year old with my awesome wife WITHOUT using a babysitter (so a lot of my time is spent watching over them), and my workouts are usually at 11pm or midnight after my kids have gone to sleep or at 8am AFTER getting off of the graveyard shift.  I average only about 3.5 to 4 hours of sleep everyday.  Yes, I am rambling.  My point is, before you start questioning someone's character, take a good long look in the mirror.  Yes, there are a lot of liars on this board. But I always give people the benefit of the doubt before drawing my own conclusions.

Anyway, Jerry, keep it up.  Work on your weaknesses and challenge yourself to make them strengths the next go around.

Let's see ...you are a gym warrior weekend warrior wannabe who was skinny and now youre fat. U obviously don't know and don't understand shit about the body's physiology when it comes to doing a show. So again ; what's your point ?....I made mine because  I know what I see and what I'm talking about. What about u ? ever dieted down for a show ?...naturally ? If not , never preach to me again fatso . Do it first , and then you will at worst agree with me. you are 5'10" 280 ? IF u ever diet down to 6% bodyfat or 5% ( which by the way I think it's impossible without t3 and fatburners ) you will weigh exactly around 155-160 lbs. So before u criticize me learn your bodybuilding and then we can have a discussion. K ?  ;)

Sevatase -

Your opinions are incorrect.

For a teenage bb contest, at about 5 ft 10 inches, I competed 100% natural at 186 lbs.

I dont know what my body fat was exactly, but I was about as ripped as Jerryme was.

Like a previous poster stated, just because your genetics are limited, doesnt mean everyone else's is.

Your posts are incredibly tiresome to read - pls refrain.

either that or ; u took aas and came in ripped at 186 but i doubt it , or u have incredibly large bones and a chunky structure in which case bodyweight is irrelevant.
