Iraqis Displaced Inside Iraq, by Iraq War, as of May 2007 - 2,255,000

Iraqi Refugees in Syria & Jordan - 2.1 million to 2.25 million

Iraqi Unemployment Rate - 27 to 60%, where curfew not in effect

Consumer Price Inflation in 2006 - 50%

Iraqi Children Suffering from Chronic Malnutrition - 28% in June 2007 (Per CNN.com, July 30, 2007)

Percent of professionals who have left Iraq since 2003 - 40%

Iraqi Physicians Before 2003 Invasion - 34,000

Iraqi Physicians Who Have Left Iraq Since 2005 Invasion - 12,000

Iraqi Physicians Murdered Since 2003 Invasion - 2,000

Yeah It sucks...however your stats are from 30 July at the latest...things change hourly there....both on the civil side and the military side. I really can't stress that enough for those who haven't been there. We have that NUYORK dude over there now...ask him..he'll be able to comment on the quality of life as of right now, in his AOR, better then a CNN report from 30 July.

Let's not also forget that these are just numbers.  Can't really measure a people's quality of life unless you've lived amongst them, or have experienced the life they live whether it be in person or by someone who's actually living the so-called "statistics", like....say maybe an Iraqi, soldier, or some one actually on the ground for more than a bird's eye view of things.  If you're not any of those categories, the numbers are just that....numbers.

they will never let an foreign power impose democracy on them. theres blood running trough the streets and bush talks about democracy.
