Those are two very powerful images. Goes to show the unconditional love a dog has for his/her master/mistress.

Did you guys read the story about the marine killed in Iraq?  They had to physically remove his bomb-sniffing German Shepherd from his side.  His family petitioned the MArine Corps and have been allowed to adopt the dog.  Early retirement for the Shepherd, they usually don't allow adoptions by anyone but the dog's handler.

Great story.

That is a sad pic. But we don't know what the dude did to be killed. Could have  been a innocent man or could have been a child molester. Dude could have deserved it.

But, it is sad. Yet no different than elephants that hang around the dead corpse of a fallen relative. Many mammals do the same thing that this dog is doing.

My dad died in his sleep.  He was found 2 days later when the housekeeper came by and no one answered the door.  She said she went around and looked through the windows and saw him lying in the bed with his cat lying on his chest.  He didn't respond to her so she called the police.  The cat stayed with him.
