BUYING STOCKS BEFORE THE HOLIDAYS

I own some Apple Stock and am looking for a few other stocks before the holidays kick in. Anyone else dabble in the stock market? Any day traders? It gives the everyday bodybuilder a very nice salary. What are your picks for the holidays?

in 2001 or so, I bought (adjusted for the splits since then) 200 shares of Apple for about $7.00.   what was I thinking!!!  I was making enough money in NYC then that I could have easily bought 2000 shares.

Buy UPS, stock will go thru the roof with the Christmas rush.  Coupled with a new contract with it's Teamster represented workforce for the next 5 years, look for them to try to buy back as much stock as possible pushing up the value of the stock.

What did you buy apple at?  Funny you mention that.  I bought at $140.  Which I noramally wouldn't pay for a share. However I feel this is a good buy.  I pretty much have liquidated most of my high risk stock and have lower risk RSP's and one triplex(income property).  All of my eggs are in one basket, so to speak with Apple stock.  I honetsly think it will hit $400.
  They are using things like iPhone and Apple TV to make it's future earnings pretty predictable, since it is taking cash from customers now and recognizing over a 24 month earnings period.
Should earn somewhere along the higher mark of $6-7 a share in fiscal 08 and more than $10 a share in fiscal 09. It will be valued at least at $250 at p/e of 35.
Once the iPhone hits the Asian market game over!!

LOL, this is the last thing I'd have expected to be talking about on getbig.  Great stuff though man.  Yes, Monday and Tuesday got me pretty scared too.  I am so confident though.  they are such an innovative company, amazing how they appeal to our generation/demographic.  Which spends spends spends.

There stock looks like it's on the drop.  Better time to buy but What makes you think they will rebound?  Lot of alchohol consumption during the holidays?  I like tech or natural resources.  They have those big jumps that make investing fun, and addicting.

if DEO goes under 88.03 i'd get the fuck out.  Theres some pretty good techs out there that have been beat up.  Some quality financials too.

I've held it for 2 years.  No one really knows what will happen in the short term, that's why I recomened it for the long hold.  If your looking for a quick jump you gotta pick a small cap stock.

i only dabble in pork futures and the foreign currency exchange markets personally....

i do have 10 million in a private hedge fund however. last year the return was roughly 30%...

i go through fitness chicks like a box of tissues and i squat 800lbs ass to grass.
