hey arnold what about someoen like me? i have GREAT cardio that comes from endurance training, so just reaching my 65% heart rate and a moderate pace on the treadmill takes forever! usually 35 to 40 mins at a fast walk of 4mph.
but i tried some other styles of cardio like joggin for a minute then an all out run for 2 mins, then back to joggin etc etc (hit style cardio) really gets me sweating and heart pumping fast! with in first 5 mins and all way through my 45 mins workout. am i hurting my muscle by doing this also?
If you keep your heart rate between 100-130bpm, you will be burning fat...just don't' go over 130bpm, that is if you're following a low carb (keto) style diet. Now if you're not following that style of diet, then that changes things a good bit.
