UPDATE:

With the exception of one stain (that was not due to artificial coloring, mind you), the sheets, towels, and pillow cases I brought home from the Fairmont came out completely clean after just a single wash cycle, with no pre-treatment whatsoever.

The products used were Pro Tan and Jan Tana.
