PATRIOTS GO UNDEFEATED WHOLE REGULAR SEASON
« on: November 20, 2007, 05:36:04 AM »
Patriots go undefeated for the entire regular season...my prediction...really they have a pretty tough schedule left eagles, ravens, steelers, jets, dolphins, giants i think in that order but i think it will happen.  eagles are lack luster and now mcnabbs out so forget them, ravens can be good defensively when they want too but their offense has no shot against pats defense, steelers are always a tough opponent but they IMO have not been playing like the calibur of football that they should, jets are always riddled with injuries it seems as knowowe is ever 100 percent on that team, dolphins are just having one of those seasons, and then there is the giants... a good team i think that has alot of potential but i think that with the the pats defense plays they can shake up Eli manning who is shaky to begin with and between bruschi, harrison, samuel, and gay they can control ward, burress, and shockey...what do you guys think huh??

I think ur screwing with karma is what i think :D.
Seriously all this Pats coverage is starting to drive me nuts. The media is creating them to be this unstopable monster with BB as an evil mad scientist. I liked the fly undr the radr Pats but with Brady and Moss crushing everthing I guess those days aree gone. Apparently Vegas has taken them off the board because they blowing the spread and their losing to much money. I stll can't believe after 40 years of mediocrity, 6 years of relative greatness etc..that they have a chance to be the best team of all time with the best QB ever. Its a far far cry from playing at BC and having the GM fight it out with Matt Millen.

i hate both teams... but..

i think the colts would have won if harrison had played.
The colts will be feeling ZERO pressure in jan despite being champs, due to lowered expectattions thanks to injury.  Pats will feel all the pressure in the world, due to their 18-0 record at the time.  PLus they'll play guys week 17 at giants when they shouldnt.

I think the colts could walk into their house and win a trip back to the big game.  Yeah, randy is insane, and brady slays manning mano-y-mano.  But the Pats give up points, and if it's a cold DRY day, harrison will stretch their D, and brady can be rattled.

I want to be the first to saythis 19 - 0 stuff means nothing. All media hype.

The pats are a top 5 defense vs better offensive teams then the colts. Who have the colts played with a great O other then the pats?

The colts could not score in the redzone vs the pats. 14 of there points came from two penalties. Which where laughable at best. Addai scored on a blown play from 70 yards out. Second half addai was shut down. Along with Clark and Wayne. Once the colts d wore down pats did whatever they wanted. Pats had triple the penalty yards of the colts. Weird since the pats are one of the least penalized teams in the NFL currently, and historically. Dome forces pats to use silent count which gives rushers an edge from the noise, Problem negated at foxboro.

There is a hell of a lot more to the pats then Brady and Moss. Stallworth, Welker, Gaffney and Watson can wreak havoc at all times. The pats have the fifth best rushing attack in the nfl. A little known stats due to the prolific passing game. A cold dry day would favor the pats. Colts are a dome team , and have never done well in the cold in foxboro in the playoffs. Stretching the field and or hoping for a shootout favors the pats.

Brady can be rattled if you get to him. Schobel and co did nothing last week. Freeney is on ir. Huge blow to the colts rush. Asante can take Harrison man. Wayne cane be schemed , and Thomas can cover clark. Held Gates to under 70 yards man last year.

Colts are a great team. However a meeting in foxboro in the elements greatly favors the pats.

If harrison is back
and it's a cold DRY day with little wind
and the NFL is talking about NOTHING but the undefeated season...

The Colts will feel zero pressure, and the Pats will feel all the pressure.

I still think the game will be a coin toss.  No way the Pats win by 26.  We see them destory EVERYONE this year, and peyton was still one drive away from a win until he flubbed it to a Pat, something you dont see often.

If I was a betting man, I'd say for the AFC championship, I'd give the colts a 55% chance of winning.  IF the pats are 17-1 entering that game, then the pats destroy them.  However at 18-0, the pressure will be too great not to be "that team" that fuct it all up.

i guess i just think its too good to be treu, that any team can be THAT good.  I think if/when they do fall, it'll be hard.  Brady or Moss get hurt, bad call on the field, some freak play, and they smell loss for the first time and see the history books with their names in it, for blowing a perfect season.

I see what you mean. But the pats won 22 straight at one point. I dont think pressure will effect them. Contrary to what the media says they dont really get into all the hype. You never hear pats players going off to the media.

You can say Manning was one drive away. Or you can say the pats overcame horrible officiating and throttled the colts in the second half in enemy terrioty. The pats didnt play well for a half in that game. The colts played flawless. No team is going to go out every game and be lights out the whole time. Even a historic team. The pats scored 14 unanswered points. Again the colts cold not score in the redzone all night. 14 of there points came from penalties not drives.

Every once in awhile a team comes along that is special. Look at the 85 bears. The 2004 colts. Some of the niners teams.

The same can be said for the colts. If Manning went down they are done. If the pats lose Moss they still have plenty of offensive firepower. I dont see why people discredit the pats for being so good. They draft well and they work free agency well.

Rival fans are itching to see "the pats blow a perfect season". No one likes a winner when they keep winning.

I dont give a crap about 19 - 0. Just a ring. The colts are a great team , but they are at a disadvantage playing the pats at home.

All this hype you see is media created. Colts will suffer the same fate if they keep winning and winning and winning.

Injuries are a part of the game. No one cried for the pats when the season started and they where missing Seymour, Harrison, Morris,Watson, Neal , Wright and Thomas. No one cared about the injuries the pats had in last years afccg. The colts pay there big guns 90 percent of the cap. This year there depth is being tested and they dont have the players to cover that gap. There are more injuries to come. Everyone has em.

Colts are a awesome team. They can beat the pats , but if they meet at the razor in the winter I think the pats take it.

I know. Charlie Johnson = revolving door. This is the first year the colts depth has been tested. If they are healthy in the playoffs they are a threat to win it all.

Even though I fargin hate Polian, the Ugoh pick was a great one. He needs to get healthy.
