The weights are all numbered in French, using "kg".

Jay is smart enough to know that picking up the wrong dumbbell in a foreign nation could be the end of his reign.  If he showed up at the O with an injured arm or shoulder, surely he'd be stripped of his Sandow!

Why would he risk his health (hell even his life) when his current package is good enough to be number 1? Jay is looking towards his retirement and his days after competing. In comparison look at Coleman. The guy is a mess. His body is in shambles and he spent all his money on cars and 30" rims. Yeah, he got 8 Sandow trophies, but Cutler will have 3 and will be much more successful and healthy post-bodybuilding.

don't know mr cutler personally but, looking at him, i'd say he takes his fair share of bbing drugs and it looks to me like he takes them year round too.

add to that a bodyweight hovering around 280lbs + for most of the year, i doubt he's obsessing too much about the future.

Your quote from Yates does not apply to Cutler. Yates and Coleman were a different breed than Cutler. Cutler is content with doing just enough to win, even if that means regressing from year to year. Coleman and Yates lived to train blood and guts and to push the envelope. They refused to give up until their bodies had fallen to pieces.

That's not why Jay looks the same year after year.  Jay is simply at his genetic potential.  He is on juice year round while Ronnie would always take 3-4 months off every year.  Jay does everything possible to put himself in an anabolic state including drinking three gallons of water and eating 10 meals per day.  He is not changing simply because he can't.

Jay is not capable of performing at this level for 8+ more years.

To believe so is silly.  Ronnie had a late start, and didn't get on the grown-up gas until in his late 20s.
