My stepdad served it's funny all these years the ONLY stories I have ever been able to get out of him are about what drugs they did and hookers etc. Never any fighting stories. In fact every guy I've talked to who served won't tell me shit, must have been some bad memories.

now is a good time to share your experience with us... or maybe you have a dad that served and he told you and now you wanna tell us

no war experience but have military exeperience. cant see myself killing anyone to be honest. besides the world dont look so bad now. IF things turn bad and history has shown people always go lunatic and killl each other now and then, and its time to die then so be it. everyone dies  :)

Why not?  Removing a threat to you or your family is not murder.  As long as I felt it was justified, I honestly don't think it would bother me any more than swatting a fly would.

Killing is alot harder than you think, this is why so many soldiers have PTSD after wartime. But i agree, if it has to be done, then it has to be done.

exactly, it is one thing to be a spoilt american brat sitting at home watching tv

and another to be on a field, with giant ants up your ass and people screaming and dying around you.

I did two tours up by the DMZ 68-70. 9 months of my second tour was spent over by Cambodian border.   I saw shit that is still classified.  I volunteered for the LRRP's, but i got discharged after my 3rd purple heart.

I still sneak off in the woods for weeks at a time every fall, just living off the land..eating sankes and catching deer in tiger pits.  I make my own fish sauce out of carp heads, never broke the habit i picked up over in the Nam.

Most of you fuckin Hippies dont know shit about the Nam.
