ShowBox, Friday 11/30, free tickets
« on: November 27, 2007, 12:26:41 PM »
It ain't MMA but the fights are always good and we go "live to air" on Showtime (so there's a good vibe in the arena).

If anyone want 2-3 tickets (excellent seats), for this Friday night, just let me know. The fights are in Santa Ynez, California. Doors open at 5pm. It's a casino, so there's other things to do before & after the fights.

Here's a link to the venue & info. http://www.chumashcasino.com/entertainment/

Send me a pm

PS. I'll be working the gig for Showtime, so I'll be there. Imagine the thrill of having a drink (or seven) with tommywishbone after the fight.  ;D

Easy E-

I'm a Stage Manager for Showtime. They have a weekly series of "combat sports" either MMA or conventional boxing. When they are on the US west coast, They call me to work their shows. I'm actually a 2nd Stage Manager for ShowBox. I'm the cat that gets the fighters and their entourage in the entry tunnel, makes sure our Audio man has the correct "walk music", and then the director cues me to cue Audio & FX (smoke & strobes), and then I tell the fighter and his gang when and where to walk. Easy-peazy.

I also do some pre-broadcast "B-roll" stuff. Easy and actually fun.
