TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- The Florida Highway Patrol says anyone missing two big bags of pot can call their Tampa area office. A crew picking up litter from along Interstate 4 near Tuesday morning made an unusual find: two big plastic garbage bags stuffed with freshly harvested marijuana.

FHP Trooper Larry Coggins says the 60 pounds of pot might be worth around $54,000 on the street. It probably fell off or was thrown from a car on the interstate.

The plants appeared freshly picked and some had intact roots.

Coggins says it's not the largest amount of pot ever dumped along a roadside, but it's certainly not a common find.

I think that's a good idea.  You don't have to actually take the job, but taking the exam will give you more options.  You should still get your degree, because you could advance up the ranks a lot faster if you decide to go into law enforcement.  It's a good job.

So unless you plan on doing corrections (shitty pay) or probation and parole finish your acc degree and just get a sponsor and go to post academy for the police bullshit.

horrid job (especially in my country as they don't even give you a proper gun...

You'd have to be bonkers to go sign up to be a cop.


But they now have this lovely new stop and search policy and the police end up with all the good drugs (I've done it with them, been invited to some of the best parties with all the best grass)


I still know a lawyer who got someone off and has an unlimited life-time supply.  It's amazing to realise who still smokes dope, after all these years.  And I'm impressed by anyone clever enough to figure out how to get it for free...

So unless you plan on doing corrections (shitty pay) or probation and parole finish your acc degree and just get a sponsor and go to post academy for the police bullshit.

He didn't mention getting a CJA degree?  I think that degree is probably better from someone going into corrections (probation, parole, etc.).  Wouldn't a degree of any kind make it more likely he could become a detective, police chief, etc.?

I see that sorry, posting last night after drinking and changing oil. Must have read what I wanted to??? With most law enforcement work you have to start at the bottom. (Patroling) A lot of departments will hire you fort his job with 60 credits. (Associates) Then from their it is just working your way up. Your right about the degree being more for a person going into corrections. Corrections pays shitty minus the whole parole and probation department.
