The consensus was that his back width was among the very best out there, and that his back detail, while not up to par to the top few guys, was still better than most Mr. O contestants. Combine the two (best back width and good back detail) and you have one of the best backs onstage. now consider that his back was his worst bodypart. From the front he dominated in pretty much every single bodypart, making him the Uncrowned Mr. Olympia.

Anyone have his rear double bicep shots from the 97 Mr. O?

Actually one of the writers of Flex magazine said what I posted earlier, that Nasser's back detail was still better than most Mr. O contenders. And the pics prove it. And his width was either the very best or second to Dorian.

Nassers back sucked because you have to be VERY flexible to shoot up your own lats with oil. Poor Nasser couldnt reach...

i agree nasser has a thick and fairly wide back- but sorry he has no details what so ever

Nasser's back wasn't bad but standing next to Dorian will make you look bad.

in all of those pictures Nasser's back looks horrible, his shoulders make up 2 thirds of his back detail, the rest is just shocking... even the 97 pic doesn't lie his back still looks terrible

True enough. Soft, lacking in any detail and looks loaded with water, it's one of the BEST PRO BACKS in the world only if by "best" you mean "terrible".

Should have used more synthol.
