Bloodsport was his best. Universal Soldier was pretty good. Everything else for the most part sucked.

I'm glad you asked.

He's great as the bad guy in No retreat no surrender, I wish he played that type of role more often.

Double Impact is possibly his best film also featuring Bolo Yeung.

Maximum Risk was much better than expected too.

What was that movie he did with that nimrod Dennis Rodman? I actually kind of liked it... B grade and all.

I can agree with these three for the most part.  I felt that Bloodsport was weakened by that damn woman they stuck in there.  Kickboxer had good fight scenes but I've seen junior high drama clubs deliver lines better than the characters in that movie.

Regarding Lionheart...great fight scenes, but I really turned against JCVD because of a scene in this movie.  When he first gets to New York (illegally), he sees a bum sleeping against a skyscraper.  Apparently bemoaning the disparity between rich and poor, he says, "America!" with disgust.

Well, f*** you!!  If America sucks so badly, go make your movies in Belgium.  I guess JCVD feels that everyone except him should be poor and miserable.  And this annoying thing he does of pointing during his movies (he does it at the park with his "family") really sucks.

I'm not expecting Shakespear, but for heaven's sake, take an acting lesson or two.

I remember a pic of him doing the splits between two chairs.
That really got me motivated.
His later movies sucked but I enjoyed his earlier ones.

Him and Stallone where my big motivators to get into gym and train.

What about Until Death? It is on Spike in 3 hours. He plays a drug addicted cop, came out in 2007. Anyone seen it?

Kind of hard. Frank Dux was a real person. Bloodsport 2(no Van Damme) kind of sucked.

Bloodsport and Kickboxer were awesome movies!  ;D

Also liked Hard Target with Van Damme's character "Chance Boudreaux" with the wet-look jerry-curl hair extensions - ha ha - quality.  ;D
