Gym "Mr Know-it-all"
« on: November 30, 2007, 02:25:34 PM »
haha yesterday i was doing some seated military presses with a free barbell....160 lbs 8 reps (im a beast)....when i noticed that a "guy" was stalking me in some way, he came closer and he told me

guy "you could do a few more",
me "really?  ::)"
guy "when i was in you age do you know how much i military pressed?"
me "no"
guy "220 lbs for 16 reps"
me "oh, you must have been a beast back then "
guy "yes, i could also bench 350 lbs for another 16 reps"

The funny thing is that this guy is a fat and completely out of shape.....
WTF why all these guys are always reffering to their "made up" past????

I think they have good intentions of just making conversation about some impressive lifting...but, most of these guys really come off as total bullshitters..kind of pathetic..I promise myself to never be THAT guy..hopefully, when that time comes for me I can simply just compliment another iron warrior and go about my training

Close, but more like their made up past is way sweeter than their real present.

You need to keep it real on clowns like that.  You should have replied, "Yeah, that's great.  What about now?"  End of story.  Owned.
Nothing worse than some dipshit telling you what he "used" to do.  Even worse, someone telling you about a "friend" they have who is "HUGE".  Reality check, this is me, you're you...no matter who you know or what you used to be able to do, I dominate this gym right now...BOOM!

Are you sure that's the correct tag? I tried it, and it said it does not exist on Xbox live? Unless you're on PS3 or something.....

your delusional.

In my case this old man came over and asked me if I went to Mizzou.  I had a Mizzou sweatshirt on.  ::)  Well that was his opening....

He was a 15 time National Collegiate champion of this and that back in 1956...blah..blah....bla h.

I mean a good guy I guess but WTF.  I boosted his ego though.  Told him I hope to be as good as shape as he is when I am his age.  Could of owned him like a true Getbigger but I had a heart that day.   ;D
