Jennifer Love Hewitt has hit back at the media for criticizing recent bikini photographs of her showing the star in a less than flattering light. The newly-engaged Hewitt was snapped in her black two-piece swimsuit last week as she enjoyed a dip in the sea - but the Ghost Whisperer star's larger-than-usual bottom soon became the subject of ridicule on many celebrity blogs.

And the 28-year-old is angry at all the unwanted attention focused on her backside, because although she is happy with her figure, it puts young girls under more pressure over their weight.

In a post on her own website, she says, "I've sat by in silence for a long time now about the way women's bodies are constantly scrutinized. To set the record straight, I'm not upset for me, but for all of the girls out there that are struggling with their body image... Like all women out there should, I love my body."

Los Angeles - Jennifer Love Hewitt is reportedly pregnant.

The I Know What You Did Last Summer actress is said to be expecting her first baby with fiancé Ross McCall in June.

A source said: "Jennifer was shocked, but at the same time she was ecstatic with the news.

"It wasn't planned, but now that it's happened Jennifer and Ross are both very happy."

Jennifer, 28, allegedly discovered she was pregnant the week before Thanksgiving in November, around the same time Band of Brothers actor Ross proposed.

The happy couple marked their double celebration by jetting off to Hawaii for a romantic break, where Jennifer was pictured in a bikini looking larger than usual.

Her curvy figure sparked cruel comments and also got tongues wagging regarding baby rumours.

Jennifer - who appeared much slimmer in a recent advertising campaign for US clothing chain Hanes - hit back at the jibes about her weight saying she was proud of her body.

The brunette beauty fumed: "Size two is not fat! Nor will it ever be. And being a size zero doesn't make you beautiful.

"I know what I look like and so do my friends and family. And like all women out there should, I love my body."
