jay looked amazing in 2001 he should have won that show for sure, his physique hasn't really gotten worse since then it has just changed, he did look like shit in 07 and there is no way in the world that he should have won. but he looked great in 2004 and 2005 and 2006, not really worse than 2001 just different..
No he didnt. He has with perhaps the exception of the ironman 2003 gotten progressively worse. Advancing left right assymetry especially in quads, diminishing detail in arms, thickening of waist and gh face. How has he looked "great" in those years you mentioned? The only area he has improved is back width and thickness although he has appeared to have lost some of what little detail he had in back."Different"? No, worse infact!
most would agree that in 2001 jay should have won the mr. O. so maybe this year was a gift for what the judges did to him. regardless i like jay..hes a good champion and good for the sport
Fact all three past Olympia winners have gotten progressively worse , they all started out much better than they ended up .
Yes, ronnie and dorian declined during their reigns but jay actually looks worse now as mr olympia than he did when he wasn't which is sad.
