Yep. As much as I hate him, I gotta admit that Mayweather was on point and was by far the better of the two. Hatton didn't disgrac himself though and would probably beat just bout every other fighter in that weight class other than Mayweather. And that includes De La Hoya when he fights him at Wembley next year.

As for Mayweather, he's got nothing left to prove now and should retire.

For the most part yes, but there is a guy I know who has knocked out over 200 people and if you asked me if he would win in a fight with these guys I couldn't definitively say he wouldn't.  I could see him beating them.  He was a champion wrestler in high school, but mostly just a brawler.

MMA fighters are challenge in bars all the time by drunk nobodies...Alot of them(mma fighters) hand the guys their business cards and tell the drunks to show up (where they train) the next day...And their is countless stories of drunk guys never showing up

Totally agree with you mate plus of course he ruined the fight.
 
It was not a classic fight by any stretch of the imagination. Mayweather has always had great spoiling tactics and with a referee like Cortez the fight was always going to be a nightmare for Ricky. I still believe Hatton could have taken it to the wire but after Cortez deducted a point the writing was on the wall. Especially since Hatton had to change his style and take a few more chances. The first knockdown by Mayweather was a peach of a punch but Hatton did run into it.

Don't get me wrong I think that Hatton only had small chance of winning but that points deduction was the catalyst for the knockout.
