Look at BFTO 97, he was in shape to beat Nasser, not Dorian. Or should I say, he wasn't in the shape he wanted to be, as opposed to the shape he was in for the 1997 Arnold. Comparing the two, Flex wasn't in shape.

That makes no sense.  The general consensus is that Nasser deserved to win in 07, so if Flex was really looking better than Nasser before the 97 O he would have for sure wanted to compete it in - it may have been his only chance at winning the Mr. Olympia.

Take a look at BFTO 97 if you don't believe me. he could have easily won the Ironman or the San Fran in the condition he was in.  Flex was buggered by not that incident but with Shawn Ray accusing him of calf implants. Flex stood up at the podium at the Olympia (looking like Sergio Oliva---just like Shawn Ray said) with a copy of a fake police report and supposed tests of his calves. Flex's own worst enemy was not Nasser, Dorian, Kevin, or Shawn, it was his own mind.

Shawn accused Flex of having fake calves, and Shawn also told everyone that he surmised that the sole reason Flex had a run-in with ninjas, was due to him being out of shape.

Whether he took a real police report, had something in his calves or not; the reason for him no competing that came out of Flex's mouth is bogus as a million dollar bill.

There were no ninjas, and there was no Flex in the Olympia. Flex was under contract, wasn't in shape, and felt he couldn't back out without a decent reason. This is bodybuilding, after all, the reason coming from a BBer doesn't seem so far fetched. But when logic and real world experience is applied, you realize that it was about as pathetic as it comes.

You don't do too well in reading comprehension do you? I said, Wheeler could have easily won the Ironman and San Fran in his condition not the Olympia.  please read nest time. It helps to clarify things. Also please look at the BFTO 97 vid, before making comments. It might help you.
 
Nasser was good but he is not even in the top 10 bbers of all time. His ass has been spanked by Flex at the Arnold, and Nasser was 275, and Flex was 224, and Flex won the Most Muscular award as well.  So did Kev in 1999, the year Nasser was giving the biggest gift of his bb career. Typically, the winner of the Most Muscular is the winner of the contest as well.

Flex made a silly excuse, and then had a police report done at the Fresno Police Dept, where he used to be cop, and where he is from. Flex made the same damn mistake in 1998 as he did in 1997, only in 1998, the O was wide open, and the door was open for him. It was siad, all he had to do was come in his 19998 Arnold condition, and he'd have it, but he didn't.
