anyone use pitcher water filters?
« on: December 10, 2007, 08:40:59 PM »
I got these dupont filters and i rinsed them for a lot a lot longer than the instructions said and there is still black carbon coming out of the filter.

Epic making the water gray and doing the opposite of what they're intended for.

I'm sure they're fine after a lot of rinsing, but the instructions just say to submerge them in water for 15 minutes, then rinse for 15 seconds.

If I had done only that I would have been drinking gray water.  I should video tape that and sue.  :D

what is wrong with tap water?

I quit using a brita a long time ago, regular tap water is fine. bottled water is a joke.

I always like this little fact evian = naive

In some cities it tastes fine but where I'm at it tastes horrible.

There's some places where bottled is the only tolerable option, like Phoenix, or Denver.
