It was cool seeing Tom. I had no idea that he was Tommywishbone. I haven't seen him since the 90's at Gold's in Venice. Mike Ryan was the manager at the time and Kent Kuehn worked the front desk.

Gold's had THOUSANDS of members at the time and Kent had cmmitted every single persons membership number to memory. You'd walk up an he'd type in your number. You wouldn't have to say a thing. He was amazing! He used to train with Arnold, Platz, Mentzer and all of the boyz. I used to see him backstage at the local NPC shows after he left Gold's.

You know to have collected all the stories told at just the last 2 Getbig Firehouse lunch meetings would be like 20, maybe 20+ in number probably...and all of them nothing but the "good stuff."  We really need to get Joe, MaxRep and today's gang together for another one, along with Ron as well; I know he'd have some great stuff.  It's essentially this exchange of information that we're delighting so much in; all the Venice/bodybuilding folklore-type stuff.  You guys should hear it, it's on another level; it's not anything I've ever heard before, this is the stuff ripe for another series of articles "telling all."  Alot of the stuff in the last 2 meetings was from around 1980-on, with both stuff from the Sammir Bannout/Tom Platz period to the "Titus Era."  On that note, I swear Titus defined his own "era" in that respect; there are stories upon stories from his days in Venice.  Just pure folklore by now but you just know it's every bit true, all of it.  ha ha I'm rambling but it's Nasser Night again.       

The Max Muscle gang would be another welcome addition; some stories would definitely come together then...
