why is it that no one can create a good religion now?
« on: December 16, 2007, 04:07:19 PM »
i mean if people where to follow a guy around claiming him to be the son of god, and that angels and demons existed we would think they are nuts in this day and age. why is it that people see these beleifs as juvenile now but still hold on too thousand year old traditions in which the exact same non sense is used?

kinda stange how people beleive in primitive writings clearly full of superstitions that would not stand for a second in this age.

One where 'tithing' is based on a less-than-10-percent contribution.

From a financial perspective, if you're trying to launch a new cult in America, you'd have to make JC your central figure.

Actually a good thing for all religions would be 0 tithing.   And no public worship by choice.  No commercialism.  And followers should be encouraged to give 10% to 3rd party charities.
